VQ37VHR + Mods + 150shot = 450whp
Finally achieved my 2nd goal which was hitting 450whp, this was just a few hours ago before leaving work decided to throw her up on the dyno and play around with some jet sizes i just picked up.
so since were motor brothers, I figured I would fill you guys in! :hello: Mods. Fujita Short Ram Intakes Berk High Flow Cats Custom Exhaust 150 wet shot. Baseline was 333whp N/A. http://myg37.com/forums/members/cham...st-150shot.jpg |
Wow, nice numbers bro, hope you dont spray too much though, I'd hate to see your engine pop.
|
If you do it right and take all of the saftey precausions you will be fine.
DAN |
But 150 is a little much I would think 100 wet shot on a stock block with supporting mods would be ideal, That is what I was going to do on my old 06 Z
DAN |
who decides whats high or not ? lol really? the stock timing on the ecu is so low that its pretty damn safe. 150shot devided by 6 cylinders is 25hp. and thats super low. as long as the fuel is there, should be no problems.
|
I somehow doubt those little bolt ons would put that # @ the wheels....something here doesnt add up.
This engine is pretty much maxed out as it is and everyone knows they dont usually respond well to basic bolt ons. If ytou look at dynos people are only pushing around 280-290whp with those mods. Now you say 333whp NA is this with or without spray? Because you arent specific. Either way if you say it without spray I still call BS and want to see a dyno sheet. 333whp +150 spray is pushing over 450whp anyways. You need forced induction to be pushing anywhere near that amount. Dyno or BS |
engine is maxed out how? this motor has tons of potential once real affordable engine management is available (that works). my 333whp graph is right up there as well for comparison. I have nothing to hide and will explain anything you need explaining.
|
Im not saying you cant spray that much I just saying I wouldnt on a Stock Block...
125 wet shot with a tune would be the most I would do on a stock block. But I would stay with the 100 personaly. DAN |
I have the same mods as you and my 7 AT rwhp is 292. I estimate that if i spray a 75 shot i will get 65 RWHP more bring me to 357. ( based on ZEX data from there car and Dyno results,.
Soon to be a stock GTR's worst nightmare at the drag strip. |
Trade those intakes for something better... Those are heat soakers
|
I wouldn't doubt NoLimitMotorSport too much, blue. Aren't these guys the ones who pushed an old GT-R over 600whp on pump gas?

Awesome man +1 for trying stuff out, good job
|
for dyno dynamics your sure as hell making alot of power for only NA mods. isn't like a stock 370z on dyno dynamics like 260 something??? idk but making more then 50hp alone on dynamics from NA mods only is very impressive.
congrats on being the first to NOS this car!! |
I have a question, excuse me bumping kind of an old thread, and my lack of knowledge in this field, but do you have to tune for nitrous or just use more fuel/ different plugs? IF you do, what did you use to tune it? if you dont, wht kind of plugs/ fuel upgrades did you use? Also, would you be able to use a kit that was designed for a 350z hr? or do you need a different one? THnks!
|
Its not a MUST to tune but its good for the longevity of your motor. Nitrous kits are mostly universal in the sense that all the solinoids are pretty much the same...
The only thing you change for the shot size is the pill which is located in the sprayer you put into your intakes.... im sure you could use the HR kit as both have dual intakes and you would need 4 solinoids to do the job.... 2 fuel and 2 nitrous. As far as tuning, its great to know what your A/F is so you can adjust to make sure you arent leaning out mid run.... but if you want to do it the cheap way you could just run a wideband to get your A/F reading then either choose bigger or smaller fuel pills for the fuel shot you are mixing into the intakes with the Nitrous. I wouldnt do 150 shot because then you are in the territory of small blocks that have more displacement and can spread the mixture around to more cylinders. I would actually not recommend going over 100... I had an 85 shot on my 350z and it was more then enough..... |

In all honesty though, good job. EDIT: wait....your stock baseline was 330? Thats crank hp ratings....and you say you are at 450 now? I hate to say it, but if 330 was your baseline whp....you are NOWHERE near 450WHP.... Maybe 350-360.. I say that because our cars dyno at around 240whp on a Mustangdyne dyno. If you dynoed in at 330whp stock thats like 90whp over the norm... 450-90= 360whp for a mustangdyne. What dyno did you use? A dynapack?? Why is this in the forced induction section again? I am a ****. |
lol... I love the Supra poster...thats great

How is the new the bimmer? |
It's got torque and a lot of it. Nice chance. Both are great cars. Perfect Car would
Be a TT 370z but the 135 hasn't let me down at all. Trapped 120 with stock exhaust still in tact and is a more livable DD... |
