Bpv for GTM supercharger
Does anyone know if the bpv fit a GTM stage 2 supercharger should be open or closed at idle ..... Or does it matter ?
|
Open. Or you are forcing air into the engine at idle.
|
Thx for the response .....now this thing is stuck closed hope I can clean and lube it

Yea I was hoping it would be a simple thing as a vacuum line ......connection up top looks and feels tight ....lower connection looks tight ......but won't be able to really check it till I take bumper off .....kit has about 3k easy driven miles on it ...but had a spell off cold rainy/icy weather before having issues ....... Soooo once bumper is off minds as well clean the bpv and check everything I can
|
I don't know which BPV they are shipping with the kits I would assume it is still a Turbosmart but this cleaner works well: Turbosmart FG-PA-MS050
I am tempted to upgrade to a Synapsis BPV, one member has done so and gave a good positive thumbs up. |
Is it adjustable?
Maybe you just need to loosen it off? |
Test it with a hand held vacuum pump. You may be able to get a loaner pump from a parts store.

Yea it's a turbos art bps ...It is adjustable ....I didn't change anythng from the way it came ...was working very well then suddenly stuck .....I prolly should have took it apart and lubed it right out the box ...but I didn't .....what other kinds of bpv are direct fit like the turbos art or will modification be required to change it ?

I added an extra spring to my turbosmart BOV now I have no chatter. Lube with sowing machine oil every 3 months
|
I didn't have chatter or issues with it working ....it was doing great ...just stopped
