No problem guys for finding you the dyno video. :icon17: Anyway Z fever is really shady, everyone in the Tampa area knows that really well.

If you're going to spend the money on a turbo kit, don't cheap out on the most important part, the installer!

I'm just baffled on how one can drive away from the shop with the piping looking like that. You can spot the booger welds even in the picture. Not to mention the bent piping connected to the turbo

Unreal

Hopefully it was resolved

This is why some people should NOT be allowed to operate power tools!

TerribleONE 02-03-2016 09:46 AM

I had nightmares about this car last night.

carlitos_370z 02-03-2016 11:07 AM

now way... that is the same car:eek:

njobe89 02-03-2016 11:31 AM

wow

1cleanZ 02-03-2016 11:36 AM

Clearly the owner of this car had no idea what he was getting into and put their full faith in the shop that said "oh we can build you a customer turbo kit, no problem." Ah, this is such a shame to see, especially being a business owner to know there are shops out there like this just fires me up!!!!!

carlitos_370z 02-03-2016 12:35 PM

:iagree:

in my opinion and i know is the same opinion of everyone here... "do the things right or just don't do anything..."

roplusbee 02-03-2016 09:18 PM

Why would someone trust there car with a shop build that isn't proven? In my opinion there is only one shop built turbo system worth considering...............let's just say that they are a forum sponsor!

I hope the owner gets the car straight.

I was on Youtube looking at vids and came across this: professional shop ruins 370; single turbo kit gone bad...

I haven't seen it on here yet; if this is old please disregard and delete. If not....anyone have anymore information? Looks like a VSR type build similar to mine.....but damn

Ahh I was wondering what shop was responsible for this..

Do you know if they are still in business ??

1st 05-29-2016 09:14 AM

Seen this on the tube myself, pretty sad no pride in ones work.

DeliriousClam 05-29-2016 09:47 AM

There would be a steel-toed boot lodged in the shop owner's colon.

Oh yeah, they post stuff every week or so

Jsolo 05-29-2016 10:34 AM

People pay money for this kind of work!?@#

I guess this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. Lack of workmanship seems to be everywhere these days. We recently had our car into the body shop for a crumpled fender as a result of someone backing into it.

Upon completion, steering wheel was off and had to be realigned. Tire pressure was not consistent all around (1 tire was R&R due to wheel refinishing). An applique was not reinstalled behind a splash guard. Underside of fender was not coated with rocker panel protectant (prevents rock chips from damaging underside, present from the factory). It's amazing all these details got messed up given how simple the repair was. I think it'd probably be a good idea to check lug nut torque just in case.
