BTW: YES, i'm in contact with Vortech
But they can give me no experience of my request!

(Nevertheless, super nice people and very quick response to my request!)

Very interesting! Looks like a good alternative to the cog belt.

Thanks for pointing this out!

what do you want to know? ive done a full custom setup.

If you don't want to have a custom tension backet made. put a 3.50" on the jack shaft side.

I when 3.12" on jack side and 2.70 on supercharger side.

EVOHunter, did you use these 8 rib pulleys for your setup?

Yes 8 Rib 2.70" bought it off the vortech site.

But remember, if you put on a 2.70" on the blower, you need a custom tension bracket to allow more tension, and 3" idler pulley on the tensioner assembly. ive been through this all on a thread ill post it for you!

But like I said, the easiest way is put a bigger pulley on the jack shaft side, then you can still use your stock bracket, pulley and belt

I find it funny how Vortech says you can go from a 3.20 to a 3.15 and from a 3.20 to a 2.75" with the stock idler pulley and bracket.
it does not work! I know 100% .

look at page 13 and 14, should give you an idea of what I had to do!

They are just shot-blasted. So they provide a little better grip then the electro polished

Cool! Thanks!

I've been following the Jwillis72 saga.......or should I say soap opera. I feel his pain.

I ordered the same pulleys and the original bolts to bolt them in are too short for the new pulleys. Anyone have experience with this and what did you have to do for them to fit right? Another thing I noticed was if you do replace one the other must be replaced also as it sticks out 1/4" further than the other which would make the belt not flush on both pulleys.

TopgunZ 01-25-2016 04:53 PM

Are you guys really going to throw 12psi at this kit with that w2a?

StillenZ84 01-25-2016 05:42 PM

I was planning on switching out the supercharger pulley for the 3" for now which would gain 1/2 to 1 psi over the 9.5 psi I have now. I ordered the 3.47" to change out when I do go ata in the very near future.

The original plan was to put the 3.47" on combined with the stock stillen pulley which would put me between 10-11 psi. We had the stock stillen on and went to put the 3.47" on and ran into the problem stated earlier. Now the plan is to put the 9 lb pulley and 3" supercharger pulley on before my new tune tomorrow.

When are you going to dyno that 3.0"?
