And yes, Presto, NA Zs can beat poorly driven boosted Zs at the strip. Anything can happen. However, after this genius does it, his mom makes him turn off the xbox and go to bed.

Lmao wow...I'm not a millenial BTW. But good observation :rofl2:

Not to derail my thread but I'm with Chuck on day drinking. I can't do it. I totally understand his view on people posting dumb crap (that would be me, lol.) But ehh, people say and do dumb crap all the time. I just ignore it and skip that post or use selective hearing or vision. It's easier and get to smile longer and more often. As for the sarcasm, I didn't read any until it was actually posted that it was. I really meant it when I said I'd get American if I want balzy power.

Chuck, you got some nice lines. Lol, they are mean as hell but darn good ones!!

Chuck33079 11-19-2015 09:44 AM

Oh, I'm not against day drinking. I just need a reason. Wading through some of the incoherent ramblings of our newer members is starting to qualify as a reason.

I stop by the shop that works on my car all the time even when my car isn't there just to check out the builds. There is always something cool to see, everything from a turbo FRS to Lambos.

Me too

JWillis72 11-19-2015 10:22 AM

Unfortunately one of my favorite cars was the crashed red GTR that has been all over the web.

Spooler 11-19-2015 10:24 AM

This thread went to crap.

gbrettin 11-19-2015 11:00 AM

The Engine Building and F.I. section has to be my favorite sections on this forum. I check in daily to see what is happening on all sorts of builds. Heck, I was lucky enough to see some of the cars in person at Zdayz 2015. It was really awesome seeing the final product and being able to see the build process highlights.

Using this forum has allowed me to carve out specific items that I want to see in my car when my turbo build is done, I'm currently accumulating parts (slowly). I can't wait to share what works and doesn't work for my car.

So... Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to share the information about their builds! The pictures and videos are icing on the cake.

Haboob 11-19-2015 11:39 AM

Still trying to get another cockwarmer for my Z.

Best mod of all... talk about boosted.

Agreed. I check the engine forum lots just to see what tinkering is going on.

I'm also starting to get more into the racing thing but kinda in the mix of suspension also. I'm trying to put it all together and get a better understanding of how to lay the power down. So much and so confusing starting from the bottom up. It's interesting though. Just happens to be a slow learning pace for me since I was never interested in any of that stuff.

Welp, you guys are welcome for me resurrecting your FI thread! :iagree:

Cockwarmer style. Leave it to the NA guys....well alright, I'd take a used supercharger if a nice one popped up for sale, not a fan of turbos tho..

I'm not one of these new moron millenial new members, just FYI Chuck. And, you're welcome for me making your piss boil. Lol

Well, you need to study up. Pro's and Con's of NA, Supercharger, and turbo charging. I could go into some detail but what is the point in this thread.

TopgunZ 11-19-2015 12:52 PM

Wait. Are we now talking about day drinking spilt cockwarmer piss?

My nickname is dayhawk. It's much more fun being drunk and doing active stuff. Night drinking indoors or at bars has gotten old. Especially since I've been married.

Nothing better then drinking in the garage at noon and staring into the engine bay of a z wondering what you can do next.

I already have a REALLY GOOD understanding of drinking and booze. WHOOT WHOOT!! I'm not so versed in FI.

Anyhoo, booze and car can be fun, but also dangerous as you can loose stuff or get lost as the drinks kick in. Lucky I usually work on the car in the day and drink when the sun is down. It helps keeps things in order.

So whats next for everyone else currently in the middle of a build ? Right now I'm planning out my RFS setup. Trying to decide if I should tackle that first, or a radiator upgrade first

TopgunZ 11-19-2015 01:20 PM

Booze and an arctic cat wildcat will go great together. I'm picking one up soon.

D.Stillwell 11-19-2015 01:21 PM

How do u guys feel about the Stillen supercharger? Better route to go turbo or what?

What is a RFS? As for the Rad upgrade. The CSF with oil cooler is a sure winner in my book! It keeps the car nice and steady at 200 def at the drag after multiple back to back runs. I take it easy and mope my way back to the lineup area and she is ready to go again once I'm up. I don't turn off my engine and push her or anything. I just run in. Yeah, I'm lazy. I suggest getting some T-clamps for the rad hoses when you do it. My OEM ones started to leak on my a short while ago. Now I have to drain the thing just to swap the temp worm screw one I have on there. GRRR

Return fuel system

I've heard the CSF radiators have fitment issues sometimes, but im still leaning towards their triple pass over the mishimoto

The Nismo has red stock OEM hoses? I assume from your picture that they were upgraded to silicon when the radiator went in.

Csf is fine, just replace their drain plugs and washers before installing. That's not an install you want to do twice when the drain seizes up on you.

I had to trim and cut a little bit of my fan thing to get it to fit right. Not to bad though. Most if it was done with a utility knife and aviation snips.

I got the hoses and CSF from Amber at the same time.
