I Was thinking that about the Stilen kit also. I have ZERO experience with it but why not take that , make a dual intake and make it work. There cheap in the g35 forums used ? IDK

The MP62 was probably way too small -- I ran an overdriven one of those on a 2ZZ motor (I4).

The MP90 or newer TVS equivalent should work.

The dual inlet/dual outlet design, A2W IC outside the manifold (rather than internal) and properly sized piping is what would be the key innovation to making this all work right -- using, say, laminovas in an internal IC core would also work, but not as well -- what you'd gain in flow you'd lose in heat transfer.

The other option, as I said, would be to forgo the IC entirely and use direct port W/I, progressive controller -- for modest boost (say < 1 bar) this would be a beast off the line. Top end might not hit much past 400, but the aim here would be a torquey road car, not a dragstrip/dyno queen. It would make massive torque off idle and keep it flat to redline.

Also, was the Stillen kit for the DE (?) motor or the later gen 350Z motor with the dual intakes? If it was for the former, it would be better to modify the OEM 370 IM since everything else will already fit.

It was for the DE

I looked at a pretty large 2.9L Whipple since that was what I had here for my Mustang... that thing was a no-way-no-how... at least not unless you are going for that big bird-catcher look.

although there might be more luck with something smaller. I predict all sort of packaging issues though... without a custom lower intake manifold I dont think it would happen.

The m62 is a great SC for smaller displacement. That's wut came on the cobalt SC stock. But needs a lot of cooling

When I got rid of the cobalt it was arounder 250 to the wheels with the m62. Had I of kept it and went with the mp90 on a 2.9" pulley like I planned and the built head I still have with meth injection I easily couldve hit 350-375 to the wheels. On a 2.0 lsj 4 cylinder motor

The TVS 1320 which is a popular size for that motor was good to around 400. If someone were to fab up a TVS 1900 I don't c y 400 couldn't b obtained. Especially if u were able to port that out to a TVS 2000. On a conservative pulley, HE, and 50/50 water meth 450 may b had. I can probably go thru and dig up the efficiency charts if u guys were interested
