Zeitronix E85 ECA hookup ??

1 Attachment(s)
Has anyone hooked up a Zeitronix ECA?

The kit came without any sort of fittings. What do I use to get the return line on the flex sensor?

The instructions are so poor, I don't even know what way the sensor is supposed to flow. Any ideas?

I found this on their website:
http://zeitronix.com/Products/ECA/EC...structions.pdf

And from a random Evo forum:

At no point do the "install" insturctions from their site tell you how to install the fuel sensor, besides the wiring.

I seen that thread on the evo forum. But it shows them just pushing hose on and securing it with a zip tie. I don't trust this method, especially with fuel.

How many psi will I see at this sensor? Would that even hold?

Yeah, even trying to search (Google) has not turned up much.
You might shoot Phunk a PM and see if he has played with one ever or might have some idea on how to best install it.

Yeah I had googled it all day yesterday with no luck which is why I tried here. Someone has had to have hooked this up in the past.

I have looked at it while I debate going e85, but now seeing the install instructions lack any help I might just pass on it.

I cant tell you which is the inlet and which is the outlet, or if it even matters aside from the obvious difference in size of the ports.

You will have to make custom AN hoses to plumb it into your return line. It probably uses standard 3/8 and 5/16 QD fuel adapters. Maybe its 5/16 and 1/4, I cant tell from the pictures, but I doubt it... rarely anyone messes with a 1/4" fuel return pipe anymore.

Return pressure can reach pressures up to rail pressure, which is why you drill out the venturi when upgrading the fuel pump.

Well, you at least have me as your guinea pig. Ill figure it out somehow then post how it was done. But your right, the instructions are as useless as decaf coffee.

They could have advised that standard QD fuel connectors will clip on to the sensor... but other than that, to be honest, I am not sure what else they could tell you. Put fuel in there and its going to give you the information you are looking for.

TopgunZ 03-30-2015 03:00 PM

Yeah, It just sucks when you are planning on getting something installed but the kit doesn't come with parts you need nor tell you what you need.

phunk 03-30-2015 03:39 PM

Was the kit sold as universal, or specific for a 370z with return fuel system?

TopgunZ 03-30-2015 05:03 PM

Universal. I see where your going with this. Maybe that's why they don't include any fittings.

Its Monday.. gotta bust someone's!!
