Hello everyone - Nice to have the forums back!!

Thank you to whomever the mysterious person is that fixed 'em!

After almost 13 years of running my car oem/stock with FI cat back/z1 long tube intakes - I recently downloaded/installed Z1's basic off the shelf "stage 1" tune

Why: Well - I've "heard" the car can run on the leaner side with intakes/exhaust - and - I "heard" the basic tune can improve shifting (I have an automatic so.... yeah yeah yeah!)...

Anyways - recently only in 1st gear - on heavier throttle tip in = I get a pinging sound. It does not do it every single time, 2nd/3rd gear = totally fine.

Was wondering if there's a simple way on the EkuTek I can see what's happening in that instance? I think I read somewhere that if running 91, and HOT weather hits = increased chance of pinging as the Z1 tune runs more aggressive timing advance in lower RPMs = can trigger knock?

I'm not sure - I'm far from expert on these...

I do have new OEM plugs and Z1 Coils - I'm going to throw those in and see if that fixes it (Yes I have 115,000 miles on stock plugs - :driving: )

This ONLY started when HOT weather hit here in Utah - and only when the car is warmed up.. I did change oil - no change in noise frequency/duration.

Any help would be appreciated thanks everyone!!
