The color is a little loud for me but I like it otherwise. I am seriously considering ordering a set + door inserts and replacing the leather and crappy alcantara in my '09 and while they are at it, Dynamatting the hatch, cabin and doors to cut down the god-awful road noise. I might keep it a couple more years rather than thinking about something new.

Do we wrap the door insert over the original cloth or is it the same as the seats where we remove the original cloth cover then install the new one.

over original cloth. made the mistake of taking it off on the driver's side. not as plush and pretty as the passenger's

I bought my nismo with the red leather already in it. I thought it was stock like that.

Is it reversible? Like if you want to go back to the OEM cloth it should be fine?

yes you definitely can, just have to make sure that you don't rip or tear the original cloth cover when you slide it out. As for the door inserts, not so much.

Yes I was talking about the door inserts. Once I wrap it with leather from leatherseats.com, I can always go back to the oem fabric if I decide to put it back to stock? We don't glue or staple on the oem fabric?

Looks great. I've done katzkin before and planning on it for my base Z too. I'd like to match the orange seats and inserts of the touring sport model if I can. I'll have to check out leatherseats.com. Maybe they will have something closer than katzkin does.

Nice job in the install.

It's recommended to glue the new leather over the fabric. Makes it easier to install and look nicer. Dont think you can reverse to own fabric.

Sorry. I read this thread twice, I'm assuming you had custom leather supply your door inserts too, but I cant see anywhere on their site where the mention supplying those pieces. I went through the whole ordering process short of clicking buy. can you explain that bit a little more.

Install too...

Sorry to bring this up
This looks very nice !
I am planning to get the red covers for my white Z =P
For the seat, do you take the OEM fabric out or the cover just goes on top of it?

you have to take off the OEM fabric, which is held by hooks and some rivets(?) if i recall correctly. taking off is fairly simple. and then you reverse the process with the new leather cover
