AT Shift knob question

Hey, been lurking on the site ever since i got my Z, I had to get a
auto since my gf would tear it up she cant drive manual to save
her life lol. anyways i spent along time trying a bunch of diff auto
shift knob a dapters/ auto shift knobs, and finally settled on b2 designs auto shift knob:

And while its almost a perfect fitit did wobble a bit and had to much up
and down play for my likes, i bough two rubber washers and put them
inside the shift knob and it immediately fixed wobble/ noise, but ive been swapping alot of my interior and exterior to carbon fiber and wanted a
black or cf shift knob.

on a vw forum i heard about a SPP TIP mod, that im guessing works like ours do. this is the thread i got the idea from.

VWVortex.com - TIP Mod ... boring to beautiful this is the thread i got the idea from.

TWM Shifter and SPP TIP Mod

TIP Mod grinded down so that shifter ring would fit.

Stock Shifter removed and shifter shaft cut down to give a short shifter look.

Final Result.

All credit to a possibly badass at shift setup goes to radambomb over at VWVortex.com

What do you guys think, it would open up alot of knobs that wouldnt have been possible. ive always wanted just a simplistic heavy ish low shifter for an at lol but its been hard work.

If anyone has any experience with tiptronic cars, got any insight into how it works? is it the same as ours? i looked pretty close from where i was looking at thm Thanks :D

I really love his overall setup, minus the boots, and could easily get the shifter covered! What do ya guys think?
