I'm in the bicycle business as well as toying with my Z. In the bike world, the BEST carbon comes from Taiwan, period. Rims, seat posts, seat rails, stems and bars. If it came from taiwan, your getting some of the best carbon out there. It's just MHO...

Yep, even 80% of Tesla parts are made in Taiwan.

carbon is hand laid, the best process for it is a manual process there for as a corporation you would be stupid to even attempt volume production anywhere where wages are higher than $10 day.
