I have to say, that I agree with you. The NISMO wing is amazing but IMHO the Amuse wing is pure sex...just my .02.

What does that wing go for by the way? I'm already going to NISMO hell for pulling mine apart so may as well buy a first class ticket :)

motoextreme 12-23-2009 03:59 PM

Nevermind, see it on the link. How long does it take to get in?

:icon18:...props for going to hell and back. I have been there many times while trying to put my car together; as they say "the sweet will never be as sweet...without the sour".

The link below will help you with some special pricing that is going on with all Amuse goods right now.

man you should've just bought a VQ37VHR engine and the chassis, and you wouldn't need to resell all the body parts XD

motoextreme 12-23-2009 04:24 PM

Phelan: I know man...I'm just a damn idiot that way. When its all said and done though, I love the Nismo body and hate dealing with aftermarket bodywork. I don't regret buying it, still like the fact its numbered and such.

I don't want to replace the whole thing, just talking about switching the fin out but I'll chill for a bit. I just sold my left n#t to buy these other parts...just fishing a bit...

You may all think I'm whacked out but when you see it done I'm hoping you'll think otherwise. I have pics going on shortly of my car in pcs!!!! YEAH!!! Rims are getting picked up now. Headlights come in next week. Carbon arrives next week, Brakes come in Tuesday. I'm worn out!!!! HAHAHAH

Ey yo you're local to me, when it's done let me know and we should grab a pint or somethin', I wanna see! Pics never do enough justice!!!

motoextreme 12-23-2009 05:25 PM

Count on it!

Maybe do a little Z meet at the house. I live in the middle of the Canyon and plenty of room for a get together. Maybe a BBQ when it warms up.

Rickey89 12-23-2009 05:53 PM

im not gonna lie i considered a rd trip to ca to to visit when i read this..
but texas to ca is a bit loong.

i would probably have to invest in a oil cooler before considering that drive, lolz

motoextreme 12-23-2009 06:06 PM

Come on down! Texas to CA in a Z, what is that...28 hours! I'll make it worth your while, like Strip joints?

Rickey89 12-23-2009 06:32 PM

that is definitely something im going to consider for the future. pending that the offer is still good.
i work in insurance as an agent and were understaffed for the holidays..works out because i get overtime which means more goodies for the car but less time to actually do anything.

corner3garage 12-23-2009 06:44 PM

The amuse kits have always been one of my favorites. They never fail to be radically extreme and stylish at the same time.

We recently found out while in Japan that the Amuse rear wing is not going to be in carbon fiber; apparently costs were too high, demand was too low, and their margin was not great. So they switched to FRP but the gurney flap option is still available in dry carbon. "It is what it is" as they say. I was disappointed at first but after thinking about it I am just pleased to see them use a material that is easier to maintain ha-ha.

We also discovered that the Amuse Vestito front bumper includes an integrated front diffuser:

oh god damnit thats nice...

370Ztune 02-02-2010 03:30 PM

FYI...we just ordered one full Amuse 4pc. kit for stock. We are expecting it to arrive around April-May and are currently accepting deposits for anyone who would like to reserve the kit. We can either distribute the full 4pc. kit, the wing by itself, or the basic 3pc. kit.

Please PM if interested...serious inquiries only:driving:

Cost to Install an Amuse Bodykit?

Just out of curiosity, how much would you expect it to cost to have an autobody shop to install a complete 4 piece body kit?

Would a Nissan dealer be the best place for this type of work, or would an independent body shop be the best bet?

Martin

370Ztune 02-05-2010 11:18 AM

It really all depends on the bodyshop and how much you are willing to spend. Some bodyshops will charge different prices based on the quality of their work as well as the amount of time it will take them.

I had all of my aftermarket products for my S2000 installed by a dealership (Honda Carland in Alpharetta, GA). It was more expensive than most but my guy has been doing bodywork for a little less than 30 years.

In the end I didn't care about the price because I wanted good quality and good results.

I am not the best person to ask when it comes to body install and paint because it isn't one of my strongest points (at least when it comes to price quotes)

I am confident that some vendors/sponsors and other members can probably give you a more accurate quote than I can. As we would expect from Amuse, little to no body prep is needed when installing this kit; so all you really need to concern yourself with is basic paint and install.

Once the finished kits have arrived at our Yokohama warehouse we will start arranging shipping immediately.

Right now we simply have to wait for Amuse to finish production.

To my knowledge the Z emblem is NOT included with the kit. I have not come across any distributors that offer that emblem but I have seen a few different people on the boards acquiring them.

I would suggest surfing the forums and see what you come across for the emblem.

I would guess that is what the square cut-out is for towards the back. The Top Secret diffuser I had on my 350Z had a similar cut-out (but with a cover). Seems a tad small, but not surprising given the Japanese seem to make everything small....

BLUESLATE 02-11-2010 04:03 AM

Man... this kit keeps making me wanna buy a Z...

abgyak 02-11-2010 04:58 AM

Will this kit look nice on a Solid Red 370Z with Gold Work VS-XX?

BLUESLATE 02-11-2010 05:22 AM

^That'll look tits man!!

Do the two tone like that white one (black on the bottom portion), and I think your car will look absolutely gorgeous!

simota1 02-11-2010 03:32 PM

i second that :D i want this kit sooo bad....

Sorry for the late reply guys. Hunter is actually going back to school so he's no longer with us at Bulletproof; I'll be helping you guys out moving forward :hello:

It looks like jran76 is on the right track. The cut out looks to be a bit small but we'll need to see want the first owners of these kits think. Since these bumpers are frp, it's easy to make it a bit bigger if needed.

This kit blows everything else out of the water; can't wait till we get them in! I'll keep you guys updated. Feel free to pm me anytime if you have any questions!

-Mike Bratcher

abgyak 02-16-2010 11:24 PM

Ooo Hunter is not with you guys anymore? Hmm i've discussed with Hunter on a few issues. So from now on i refer to you Mike? I hoped he Updated you on it...

Is there any updates on when the kits will be released? What i heard was by the end of this month... can u confirm on that?

Thanx
