Evo-r f1 mirrors?

Who has them? I need them yesterday! Fitment? Buying location? They won't answer phones, email back, website says in stock but it's not clickable. :shakes head:

speedfreek 09-06-2014 09:31 PM

I'd be interested in a group buy. But dunno who has them in stock. Not sure if the Z store carries them.

synolimit 09-06-2014 09:35 PM

2 weeks out. I need stock now.

nomodsjk 09-06-2014 11:06 PM

Yea they say 2 weeks out but they told me that with an item I really wanted and that was 4 months ago. Good luck I know the feeling!

zilverbullet 09-06-2014 11:35 PM

iceman21_23 09-06-2014 11:47 PM

synolimit 09-24-2014 12:50 AM

got them last week!

Z store told me on the 9th or something they'd have black ones in like 2 weeks. i said screw it and just ordered online on like the 11th. they sent a shipped tracking number the next day and i got them last week on the 16th. the guy i called needs to check his inventory closer.

ill post pics later but i did want to add...use your oem black plastic thing that goes behind your OEM mirrors with the rubber water seal thing. i had to grind the edges a little because the Evo-r support is an exact copy of that plastic thing so of course it wont fit since it's not bigger than itself. but grinding the edges some makes it fit like a glove and now i dont have to worry about water in the door when raining.

Don't do this, do what I said.

When the original mirror base is removed, the top lip of the fender under the mirror base, which had been covered by the original base, is exposed. A simple solution is the pre-cut black "decal", one for each side, included with the kit (seen installed under the mirror in the image above). This also allows for simple removal and re-installation of the factory mirror assembly if ever needed.

kenchan 09-24-2014 04:14 PM

wow... cs is just remove oem mirror, install cs mirror. setup mirror angle and done. 10-15min tops.

synolimit 09-24-2014 04:26 PM

Cs?

JARblue 09-24-2014 05:06 PM

Craftsquare. It is the original that Evo-R knocks off. The things I would do for a set :yum:

synolimit 09-24-2014 05:24 PM

It's just a mirror. Unless it gets out and blows me, these are fine.

nomodsjk 09-24-2014 05:42 PM

Not a fan of the craft square. Too small. Just doesn't look right to me. Is there a functional purpose?

:icon17:

I know you don't mind drilling and shaving down things on your car, but I find its so much nicer to have high quality parts that fit properly. If I were going to buy aftermarket mirrors (way down on the list - I don't even have a damn oil cooler in Texas), I would consider the Evo-R ones overpriced for the quality. And yes, I have a seen them both in person. So I might as well pay a little more for used CS ones off the forum (wish me luck lol) :twocents:

To each their own. I'm not trying to diss your choice of the Evo-R mirrors. I'm just saying their are people out there that want top quality and will argue that CS offers that and Evo-R doesn't. Evo-R does a great job at providing a variety of less expensive parts than their competitors. I have the Z emblems and while the backing plate wasn't an ideal solution IMO, there was no other option, and I decided I was ok with it in the end. If their product works for you then great

Small is good. The fat a$$ stock mirrors often block my view of pedestrians, bikes, and even smaller cars sometimes. The CS also have a much better viewing angle because they are wide angle. To be fair, though, you can get stick on mirrors for the stock ones that give you a wide angle.

This is exactly why I made this mirror. This mirror was design from clay to final product. It is different than CS. Even installation is different. EVO-R does come in with concave wide angle mirrors.

:tiphat:

I was comparing to the stock mirrors when I said the CS have a wider angle. I should have been clear.

I also didn't mean for it to come across as me saying the Evo-R stuff is low quality - I will edit my post. In this particular case, IMO, the CS mirrors are far superior, and really the only other product on the market to compare. The CS also cost twice as much or more new. For Evo-R to make a more affordable version is awesome

I have installed a variety of Evo-R mods for myself and others, and I will say the purchaser of the product was always pleased with the final result including any gap tolerances and the like :tiphat:

EVOR 09-24-2014 10:28 PM

Jasrblue, sorry I wasn't pointing at you when I mention about how it is develop. It was to previous post about ours been replica of CS. Thank you for making it clear.

zilverbullet 09-24-2014 11:07 PM

thanks for the review, got any installed pics synolimit?
