Messed up the gas lid latch.

I was trying to open up the lid to the gas cap for the second time to show my brother. It wouldn't open up so I put more pressure on it and I heard a snap. The white plastic piece that is part of the latch snapped off. Opening and closing the gas lid seems to be fine even without the plastic piece.

I am just a little bummed that I broke a little part of my car. I just got it too. Ahhhh. It should be fine, but would it be a hassle to get it fixed? I am getting lojack installed sometime this week and maybe we can squeeze that extra thing in.

if no one can see it and it's working fine then your ok, if you can't deal with it then get it fixed.

x2^ Why fuss if it doesnt bother anything or if not visible? But if its that simple you can also purchase it and probobly replace it yourself.

Thanks for the input. Im not that worried about it anymore.

I don't remember.

Another part happened last night when I picked up my sister from work. I didnt see this small tiny island from the parking lot onto a street right before a stoplight. I ended up curbing my left rims and scraping some paint off underneath the left splash guard. I don't think its that bad...noone really noticed it until I pointed out how retarded I was from not seeing that island. Oh well, I was thinking of powdercoating the wheels black and now I have a real good reason to haha....What a first day.

kenchan 09-28-2009 11:32 AM

yah, dont feel bad. on one of my previous cars i rimmed the BBS it came with on the first turn out of the dealer's f-king parking lot. :D

so we all have our bad days. :)

As for confessions.. A coconut fell on my hood... and there is a tiny dent. But the CF hood will fix that eventually.
