Confused about Shine Auto Project
 

Ive sent numerous emails and did get a reply to one after about 2 months, I had tried over three times to contact them via email and by phone but no one picks up. I finally heard from Ken and got a quote on some items I am looking for, quickly replied and now again am waiting over a week to hear back via email. Are they always this flaky? I am a little concerned about giving my money to a company who cant even reply to an email. I know some people have said good things and are able to open a dialogue with them and do business, but I am having a huge headache just trying to garner a reply. I also notice they do a z34 kit but yet aren't forum sponsors?? Im confused and just wanted to hear some opinions here before I go sending them a few thousand bucks...If they ever get back to me. Im thinking at this point I cant in good conscience but I will throw it to you to give your opinions. Thanks in advance.

I think you answered your own question. If I called a place didn't pick up, sent emails and waited weeks for a reply there is no way I would give them my $$$. I would look else where.

Buy their stuff through Z1, then its their problem to contact them. Shine's stuff fits better then Aerojacket.

Throwing my vote in for Z1 as the middle man. I have had no communication issues with them. They're always the first place I check for parts.

I did not realize z1 brokered for so many different vendors.

I've actually got a quote from him a few days ago & it took him a few days but he did send me an email

Although his responses can be untimely but he does respond

& I agree with Shine auto parts fitting better than others

As far as I know, Ken is the owner and he does take and place orders and takes care of all inquiries himself. I think he can really use a sales rep or a secretary but the reason why he takes longer to respond is that he is actually that busy lol

Carbon Signal did sell the Amuse kit that Shine makes. Just doing it to help the forum, but there wasn't ever any real money in it for CS. Plus all the delays were blamed on CS so they just politely stopped selling their products. Not bashing just sharing what I know, I also prefer Shine Auto products over Aero Jacket, and Ken is a very busy and good guy.

What do you need? I'm going to see him tomorrow and can ask what's up. I know he's got an Amuse front and rear at his shop with CF accents

They are friends with Ken and wanted to get into 370z parts. There was a super long thread that stayed open for a few years saying CS was selling Shine's Amuse rep.

Why don't you use the website? It quotes shipping as well. Last item I spoke with Ken, he told me that the prices on the website are accurate and the only discounts he ever gives are on Black Monday.
