With the bumpers being so cheap doubt any will make it. No one mentioned but each sideskirts is $$$$$$$

I think the price is already reasonable? The only thing that is not are the DRL.

I would rather buy new liners than go with a non-oem bumper. This thing snaps right into place, no fancy body work necessary to get everything to line up.

I'm still waiting on the call from the body shop. I suspect it is taking quite a while to get that rear bumper.

Well the DRL is a part of the overall package, no? The bumper skin itself isnt the end of the world.

That was my initial point. The DRL makes the overall cost too much for me. I dont care to have or need the DRL on my '09. Its burning $ for the sake of burning $.

If there was a bumper with no DRL, but otherwise identical, I would be all over it.

just have your body shop fill it up np

Anybody got one of these with the leds installed as well yet?

370z209 11-03-2014 06:43 PM

Anyone have the paint code for the blackish painted area?

martin82 11-03-2014 07:51 PM

rear bumper is installed, the bumper bracket is exactly the same, no need to upgrade, the mud guards are bit off but not worth bothering, you can tuck them in pretty good.

Front bumper we had an issue, so wont have it for a while. Front red pieces will be dropped off to make a mold.

Yes the front red pieces come like that. CF is already in the works

Martin the DRY LED is water under the bridge. SO what is the story with the carbon fiber inserts?

Has anyone else done this conversion?

After Super Lap Battle on Nov 14th, I will be free to get more going, we are currently 3d scanning the older nismo model, fenders etc for some new designs, eventually we will have the new front bumper 3d scanned as well.
We are probably looking at about 2 weeks until the mold is ready for the CF inserts, now the question is do we just want to go ahead and extend them an extra .5 or 1" or so or only replacement. It's either one or the other as it would need 2 molds if not $$

What kind of issue did you have with the front bumper?

martin82 11-06-2014 01:55 PM

someone dropped it on concrete after painting LOL, so waiting for body guy to come back from out of town to repaint.....

I am going to try and install it with damage will see.

DIGItonium 11-06-2014 02:10 PM

Ah... that gap. So that NISMO spoiler extends down to the edge of the trunk lid just to fill this gap, eh? Good to know.

martin82 11-06-2014 02:13 PM

yeah, unless you are that close, I'd say 99% of ppl wont notice, I bought the rear bumper to cut, in a few weeks it will be cut to air out
