Plasti Dipped Wheels, Door Handles, and Badges Thought?

Well, I decided to go ahead and plasti dip nearly everything that I could on the Z this weekend and wanted to get some thoughts on how it turned out. I used the matte black and then put two coats of glosifier on, which I think looks great. I think that the headlights and taillight now kinda stick out. Thinking that I need to paint the headlights. Not real sure what to do with the taillight though. Also cleaned and put a couple coats of liquid glass on since I did not really have the time to Zaino.

Yay! Loss of visibility!

There are tutorials here on how to open your headlight lights and paint the housings black. That will probably achieve the look you are going for and not affect their brightness.

Plasti-dip can be a fun project, but there are better ways to achieve the look and maintain a level of quality not offered by the dip.

Thanks for the more helpful information. The dip is a temporary solution until I can replace the rims. As far as the handles I wanted to get them painted the body color, but cant go without handles for that to happen at this time. I prob should have mentioned that this was not a permanent solution to avoid some of the more negative comments. As far as the headlights I was wondering what is preferred the oven or heat gun? I have seen both mentioned on here, but seems like the heat gun might run into more issues?

I'm going to do the oven method, when I get the :nutswinger: to throw my lights in there. Heat gun just won't provide enough even heat, unless you do the box method, which I also feel is questionable.
