no honk on lock
 

im thinking the batteries in the key fobs are almost dead since the dash has been warning me for some time.... but recently i noticed she wont honk when i lock my doors with the fob. why is that? are the batteries so weak in the remote the car is trying to tell me? the doors lock, but no reassuring honk.

Hold lock and unlock together on the fob for ~3-5 seconds, the cars lights will flash if you did it right. This turns on / off the honk when you lock.

yah, i think my G was the same way. i disabled the honk on lock on my G cause it's running airhorns and so the air compressor relay clicks but no sound. :D haha.

now that i think about it i do find myself setting the alarm off when the keys are in my pocket. i might have set it to not honk that way.

hey, it's not just me. this happens all the time to me too, i think the key fob should be redesigned.

just leaning into the hatch area to get something out i set it off.

Is there any way to turn off the horn but keep the light-flash when locking with the fob?
