Tonneau (cargo) Cover useage?

Does anyone actually use their cover? To eliminate the glare/reflection in the rear window? I assume you can see thru it? Or is an actual tint better to reduce heat and the reflection?
Thanks

 I thought it was just a cover to prevent people from looking in your hatch area. I didn't think it was see thru. Tint is definitely going to be a better solution for heat and glare reduction.

I use it all the time. I like that it is retractable.

I'm tinted at 20% but keep "stuff" back there. To answer your question - No...

I can't see it while I am driving, so it must be. ;)

The cover doesn't affect the view out of the window.

Finally!

Finally, firm information . You can see thru it!
Thanks,

It runs parallel to the hatch floor, so it looks like the area behind the rear window of any sedan or SUV. It is below your line of sight.

Cover Confusion?

On the hatch lid, there are two clips , one on each Side right below the glass, I thought the cover clipped in there, and would be close to the glass. When the lid is opened, the cover is raised with the hatch lid. thus the driver would have to be able to see thru it. This is why I am trying to clarify this. I don't want to buy one, then find put it doesn't work . The picture shows the cover deployed withe the left clip showing, but I find nothing inside the "trunk" other than a D ring to attach it to. The clips on the hatch lid match up perfectly.??
Many thanks

I use mine all the time. I keep it clipped in 99% of the time even if I don't have anything in the back.

TexasChuck 06-24-2014 05:55 PM

.??

Well, you didn't answer any of the questions. DOES It cover the glass or not!
Does the cover obscure the view from the rear view mirror?

equalme 06-24-2014 06:05 PM

I was replying to your original post as I did not read any of the other posts...

I don't really get your question... The cover clips into the bottom of the hatch so when it is open it will cover the glass...when the hatch is down you don't even see it at all in the rear view mirror.

As long as you don't have it installed and try driving with the hatch opened you should be fine.

That's an easy way to put it :icon18:
