2011 370z with body problems

Hope you all can help me out. Washing my baby the other day and just noticed this. "traded my 350z in for the 2011 370z with 42k last month" the trimming is not lining up. It sticking out a little on the drivers side. The other side is perfect. I should mention I bought it as is. No warranty. I did my research on the car, and it was in great condition. Carfax was spot less, One owner car, and he/she took it to Nissan at every scheduled maintenance. Also no accidents reported. This is just a anal retentive thing. Bugs the **** out of me and want to make it right.

Take it to the dealer. I had a similar issue with my mudguards/splash guards (still have it) they ordered new guards and that didn't help. Now they decided to "rewarp" it or some sh!t like that. I'm taking my car in this Monday.

Long story short. Just take it to the dealer.

He has no warranty.

OP, you posted this on FB right? If you fear it was in a wreck, check for tape/paint lines

Oops. My bad, missed that in the post.

could have just come loose. for the side piece open the door and check where it goes behind the door to see if it is loose, there should be a 2" long piece of foam body tape holding it to the car and eventually that tape stretches or sometimes gets unstuck. the rear bumper corner may not have been pushed in fully before the bolts were tightened or it was knocked off the clips there. If it pushes in when you press on it you may have to loosen the bolt on the corner of the bumper, push it on more/check to make sure it is in the clip, then tighten the bolt. If it wasn't natural it could have been the previous owner taking a body kit off the car before selling it.

I've noticed that on many cars. Alignment isn't going to be 100%. I have noticed a piece here or there that is off by a full mm's. I've seen the same type of issues on my dads Camaro as well as a C6 Z06. I believe there is a saying that goes something like "You will never fully enjoy your car until you get your first scratch".

Yes I also posted this on FB, just wanted more eyes on :)
I also checked everything else on the car. It all lines up. Also the carfax report I got was in excellent rating. No accident report on it. Was just worried that who ever fixed it didn't log it. I will just redo the 3m tape on the side skirt, and do what you all suggest for the fender area. I really appreciate everyone's feed back. I will work on it this weekend.

Look under neath the side skirt and see if the car perhaps was lifted incorrectly causing the side skirt to pop out.

And you won't notice the first scratch until your first time waxing it. :tiphat:

On a serious note, I'm currently having the same issue with my amuse sides sticking out.
Taking it back to the shop next week. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it.

I have been super busy past couple weekends and have yet been able to tackle this. Hopefully this weekend.
