got my tint and clear bra installed today

Thanks to this forum I realized to get side skirts and also part of the rear wheel arch clear shielded today.Had the front bumper, first half of front fender portion of the hood A pillars and part of the front of the roof done. As well as a tint, limo black rear as the rear window is unusable LOL and also door windows lighter however.

Did it make it through the ordeal without any damage?

Any pictures? I'm curious as to how noticeable the clear bra is.

I just had it done - nose, lower 1/3 hood, mirror fronts. I'm surprised at hard it is to see the line on the hood...basically only from certain angles. I had the nose and 1/3 hood, and mirror fronts. Choice on this 2014 was based on three years of observation about rocks and bugs on my 2011 Black Cherry Z. I also had them do the door sills, based on scuffing I noticed where my shoes would contact the sill on entry/exit.

I will update with pics once car gets washed. I am glad the tint and clear bra place didn't attempt to wipe down spray residue off. So far currently has a lot of water specs due to application process.

Call me anal. But i think I'll also be fitting some front mud flaps. Car already has factory color coded flaps. But I want to install the rally type for better protections.

Okay. Some pics. Excuse the dust and water marks.

The edge looks white on the clear shield however this goes away of you wipe it down with a micro fiber cloth. I used the same folks as I used with my previous ride.

Also didn't take any of the side skirt.

My installer that I have used for three previous vehicles does not use the pre made templates and cuts them by hand via roll correct. My preference is not to roll around the edges. Some do some don't. Some prefer rolled some don't ;-)

oh... huh, kind defeats the propose of using rolls if you dont wrap around the panels completely and tuck it under, but if that's your preference then ok. btw, your tint looks good.

Not really. I had my previous ride done and it lasted well for 19k miles before trading it for this car.
Also, I paid $650 inc tax for tint and clear film application so I'm happy ive usee them for 4 cars now hence better rates. More so knowing the paint will he okay by the time I trade up in around 3 years time.

That's a great deal, but it looks really REALLY noticeable. Not sure if I could live with those outlines everywhere!

I intentionally placed camera to show lines. Like I said earlier after a wash the white residue of the freshly cut clear film will go away. Only to return once you wak it up with wax ;-)

I sometimes wonder. Do I do all my caring to appease myself or the fortunate next owner. Lol

yah it does matter to me... im not talking about durability, im taking about visible lines. i would wrap it over to the back side of the panel, and also tuck it into the nooks when using rolls. i install clearbra myself.

the pre-cut ones are okay to leave near the border cause they weren't intended to be wrapped around the panel.

but again, if that's your preference that's fine. im just saying the benefit of using rolls is to allow the installer to hide the lines better than the precut ones. not trying to start an argument.

Fair enough man who am I to argue with a person that does this job ( you ), but the center line on the hood would be visible unless the whole hood was wrapped. I really do not see the edges that are near the panel edges, just notice the line in the middle of hood and front fenders. But I get your point. I am happy with the price I paid and quality of film and application. $650 inc tints.
