Cracked Tommy Kaira shift knob

Hey guys. Got a pic here of a TK Hebi Bebi shift knob from RHDJapan. I'm pretty sure this is not normal and there are cracks under the surface. They're offering me a refund. If I do take it, where did all of you guys get yours? Clearly, I don't read / understand Japanese to order it from the TK website...

Sad panda =(

Is it me or do I not see a picture at all?

Also, Bo@bulletproofautomotive.com (also known as 370ztune here on the forums) let me know that he has a couple TK shift knobs in stock and ready to ship. Shoot him an email! I've seen some people hit him up and he had it shipped out the same day!

Pic added, sorry apparently inline IMG tags were having issues.

Original post is I ordered a TK Hebi Bebi shift knob from RHDJapan and it came cracked. They are possibly offering me a refund, if I should take it where did you all get yours?

In so many words...and there was a supposed to be a pic but never got added until the end of the thread.

DEpointfive0 04-02-2014 07:23 AM

I don't really see a crack... Looks pretty normal

I think I know what you're talking about... But who cares?

kwikymart711 04-02-2014 07:28 AM

If I spend $200+ and wait 4 weeks for something, I'd prefer if it wasn't damaged. If this is normal, I won't care. Otherwise, I do.

Contact RHDJapan then?

There's a reason Bulletproof, (I forgot their other name) pay vendors fees and a higher price, they take care of their customers and have their own QC and they have to stock the things so you don't have to wait 4 weeks. Just sayin.

kwikymart711 04-02-2014 07:56 AM

Let's hope they honor the refund first, and then I just might. Thanks for the advice guys.

I've actually seen that happen on quite a few shift knobs. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Cracking on the underside happens more frequently than you think. If it was cracked on the top side then that would be a different story. I would honestly just keep it and rock it; TK knobs are pretty rare to begin with.

Plus, when it's on your car, you will barely even notice it.
