I had Ventureshield installed on mine when I bought the car. Full bumper, full front fenders, full hood. Came out fine.

I have X-pel film on mine. It all depends on the experience and skill of the installer. mine is flawless.

My black Z has the Ventura clear bra on bumper, hood, lights, mirrors, door edges.
So far no problems and happy with it (pictures in my album)

I am an installer. PM me with your email and I will send you some photos of ClearMask AR side by side with 3M. 3M has way too much orange peel and looks terrible on black. ClearMask and VentureShield Ultra are similar in appearance but I have found ClearMask to be a little more durable over time.

I paid $1,000 to have a 3M clear bra put over the entire front bumper, fenders, half the hood and mirrors. It's also wrapped around the edges.

3M is the best you can buy. Only a handful of installers in each state are licensed to install 3M. You won't regret getting it installed.

EDIT: 3M has orange peel? WTF? Everyone else on the planet has told me otherwise.

ive heard the same about 3m. going with ventureshield.
and wow 1000 is alot.
my installer is doing the full hood fenders bumper sideskirt for 700

I have the latest version of 3M and it looks great, orange peel is not an issue on my Platinum Graphite Z. It can get confusing, 3M bought Ventureshield, and there were/is also more than one type of Ventureshield product. I understand the old 3M did have a lot on orange peel. Find a pro installer and get the rundown on the latest and most current offerings.

3M has th most orange peel of any film out there. Everyone in the industry knows this. The majority of my clients would not have it on their cars... so I use ClearMask AR. It looks very similar to VentureShield Ultra but is more durable.

THe "newest" 3M isn ot much better than the last. I can show you pictures of 3M and Clearmask AR side by side and you will be shocked at the difference.

Just for my recolection, cause I've never used this kind of stuff before, what exactly does this stuff do? Does this mean you don't have to wax it anymore? Or what? Is it possible to get the whole car done?

I've heard you can actually get the whole car done....dont think anyone has. And I also think you can still wax the car...even with the clear bra on. I believe this protects mostly from debris, rock chips, might make it easier to remove tar and/or bugs, etc.
