CF key fobs?

So my buddy ordered a set for his GTR i thought it was realllllly cool.. Would anybody else be interested in these? maybe possibly get a group and have RexSpeed make a 370Z version for us?

Couldnt find an existing thread about this, if there is one, close the thread mods.

GTR R35 Carbon Key Fob Cover Rexpeed-Premium Carbon Fiber for your Evolution

http://www.rexpeed.net/2012/en/mygd....wSizeWidth=590

All it does is slide over the current key fob, so the only part that would need to be modified is the "R35" to "Z34"

DEpointfive0 02-08-2014 11:38 PM

$250, fúck no. Beer is more worth it

DEpointfive0 02-08-2014 11:41 PM

And the Z key is the same key for the most part. 3 button vs 4, but I thin it would fit exactly the same, just need a new base plate that says 370Z or something

karotZ 02-08-2014 11:57 PM

Just use CF wrap on the key and blast it with satin or glossy clear coat and you got yourself a CF key. Uber cheap.

LOL

so nobody's interested?! what if we could get them for $150?

kenchan 02-09-2014 06:35 PM

yah, is that even real cf? the way the thing folds near the "T" looks fake.

H2O_Doc 02-09-2014 07:13 PM

What will it do for my quarter mile times?

m3chhawk 02-09-2014 07:22 PM

I'll wrap your existing key in di-noc for $150. Will even throw a hell of a coat of clear on it for free. $250 for a pair.

Amuse370z 02-10-2014 02:51 AM

lmao @ $250

PW370z 02-10-2014 03:52 AM

This is definitely some kind of sick joke for $250...lol

exsanity 02-10-2014 04:32 AM

I'm sorry.. I seem to have the wrong thread..
:wtf2:

H2O_Doc 02-10-2014 05:56 AM

I thinking for $250, you could get one covered in baby Panda fur. Would look good with a white NISMO.

This is something I'd pay $20 for with a smile on my face. All this proves is that GTR owners have more money than brains. $250? $150? If you're seriously considering dropping that kind of money for a key fob that doesn't leave your pocket, you have issues.

Agreed. If you express this not on terms of dollars but it terms of beer and strippers foregone, then maybe folks would make better decisions.

Huh? Which parts are those? With the exception of a set of Evo-R door handle covers, all of the CF on my car would have cost me a lot more than that if I had paid retail. :rofl2:

TheGreatOne 02-10-2014 11:24 AM

I wrapped my own in real CF awhile back. Its in the DIY section somewhere...too lazy to find it hehe

kjoons 02-16-2014 07:30 PM

very well. nobody's interested. haha.. just a thought.. i would definitely consider $100-150, only because i hang my key fob from a cool little necklace/chain my dad got me 8+ years ago.

ive talked to RexSpeed, he said he can engrave whatever you want on the metal piece, and he'd be willing to do $200, if i can talk him down to $150, i'll get one with "Z34" engraved.

Ryan998 09-14-2016 10:55 PM

I have real carbon fibre case for my key and it blocks the signal:mad:

I can oly open my door within 5m now with the case on.

cv129 09-14-2016 11:21 PM

If "Amuse" or "Top Secret", or a turtle is engraved, I'm sure more people will pay $250
