Interior Noise level

Hey Guys,

I just drove a 2010 Z and loved it. The one thing that jumped out at me was a ton of road noise comming from the back of the car. Being that this is the only Z that I have driven I wasnt sure if this was typical or if the unit I was driviong had an issue with the rear hatch seal....

Is it typically that loud back there? If so have you guys come up with a solution? Dynamat??

Thanks!

RP.

Sound deadening helps a little. The OEM tires are loud. Switching to another tire helps too. It'll still never be a quiet car. Get an exhaust loud enough to drown out the road noise.

yah, tires will make a huge difference. the dynamat trunk floor does noticeable change, but not very dramatic.

Expect it from nearly any hatchback-type vehicle.

Thanks guys! The exhaust solution is obviously the best route to go!!!

REALLY?! I gutted out all of my interior pieces in the back, I have catback and test pipe. And I think my car is still way too quiet. :)

When I bought my car it still had the original old tires and they were loud but when I swapped them out for BFG G-Force comp 2s probably 75% of the noise went away. Check the date on the tires.
