Z emblems??

Hello there fellas :hello:
couldn't find what i was looking for by using the search function so here we go.. recently got a new bumper on my gun metallic nismo which means that i had to get a nissan hamburger as well, but now im considering the following emblem: Motorsport! 370Z "Z" Logo Front Emblem, Gloss Black, 09-14 370Z - The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts
what do you guys think? does anybody have these emblems? they offer them in chrome but i think gloss black would look good on the gun metallic, any opinions would be highly appreciated :tiphat:

I've got them on front& rear.
Also added carbon fiber inserts to match.
Look great on gun metallic

not a big fan of CF myself, thats why i like the ones that i provided the link before because they are just like the oem emblems but Z instead of Nissan

Have not seen those before until now.
I have these and know many others who have ordered them and liked them. Only downside is there are 2 bumps which these do not hide which is why there is a backplate on them.

Motorsport! Big "Z" Rear Emblem, Black with Silver Carbon Fiber, 09-14 370Z - The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts

These are nice too, only thing I don't like about them is the fact that there is a backplate.. do you mind posting pictures of your car with these (front and back)? :p:bowrofl:

Don't mind, will occur tomorrow as I finally get a chance to install them after of months.
A few friends in Houston have them and they look great, what we did with all of them is the backplate is painted to match the color of the car so you really never see it.

zmanelite 01-17-2014 08:32 AM

Are the front and rear emblems the same size ?

Chuck33079 01-17-2014 08:36 AM

I've got the black chrome ones. I'm 99% sure I got them from Courtesy Nissan. They look great.

Edit- Yep. Courtesy. http://www.courtesyparts.com/370z-pa...9085_9087.html

Here's a picture of my front one. Like Dreamer said, we cut backplates and painted them body color.

can you explain more what you mean by "cut the backplates"? and where did you get the paint from, and how were you able to re-attach the backplate after cutting it?:happydance:

theDreamer 01-19-2014 07:14 PM

Paint came from here: 2009 Nissan 370Z Colors of Touch Up Paint
The backplate that comes with the EVO-R emblems is ok but a bit weak so gurneyeagle made different ones. The main thing with these emblems are you have to grind down the 2 bumps so they become smooth.

The ones you linked to are nice and probably do not required any extra work. Just remove the Nissan ones, clean up the glue and put on.

Decided to go with this emblem. A perfect match with the fenders.

Malm 01-22-2014 01:12 PM

How easy was it to do?

Consider a person who has very very little technical ability. Id love to detagg my rear, and add a black Z on the front and back.

edit: Looking at the OP's tags link. I am a bit nervous about trying to peel up the emblems.. and then figure out what to use to clean the glue..

Not hard, note I actually let gurneyeagle do it since he has done it before.
His steps were, heat up the old emblems with a hair dryer, slowly start getting underneath them to loosen the glue or whatever is used. Peel them off, then start to get all the extra glue off the bumper down to what you can fairly easily. Then he started to use something (will let him answer this part) to wipe it down and get all the last bits of glue left and clean the bumper.

After that line up the new emblems and stick them on. All in all it took us maybe a little over an hour to do both front & rear.

Some fishing line helped on mine. Goo gone helped with the adhesive.

Yes that, I swear Nissan must have been dipping these cars in adhesive from the shift knobs to the emblems.
My front emblem was factory installed versus my rear which the dealership did after someone hit me. The amount of tape/glue difference was massive, the rear came off fairly easily while the front had sooo much extra.

kenchan 01-22-2014 01:24 PM

yah, bumpers are made at another factory with the emblems attached probably, and put together with the rest of the metal body panels at the assembly plant.

C'mon bro. Read the thread

EVOR 01-22-2014 09:49 PM

If need to have our emblem with matching painted color back plate. We do offer this service.

Crayon 01-22-2014 10:44 PM

It's tough. I really like the pearl/shiny black Z one that has been posted a few times, but I don't like the silver. The hard part is that my car is Magnetic Black, and I don't think you'd even be able to notice the different emblem if I put it on.
I have some rear bumper ding fixing (f'n people hitting my parked Z...), so I figured now's the best time to do it.

Thoughts on what looks best on a Black Z? Does anyone make a Nismo burger?

The black chrome badges look great on a black car.

I agree with chuck, black chrome will add a little pop and make it noticeable.
Have not seen a NISMO version instead of Nissan but might want to shoot EVO-R here a PM and see if he could produce some. Bet if you get some interest he might do it.

Bet if you get some interest he might take your money and one day sometime down the line ship you a product when he feels like it or AK locks his account until he makes good again.

Fixed.

I've place three orders. Only the first one resulted in parts showing up at my door. Luckily I always order through the Z Store, so I get a call telling me they're out of stock and their shipment is already a month late. :rofl2:

It's a shame, EVOR makes lots of parts I would happily buy if I had any confidence in my order getting filled.

At this point I don't see anyone has problem with our product or have not receive anything from us. I'm always here to help. Anyone PM me I always return PM. If product out of stock always ask customer like to wait or refund. If problem with product if customer returns it. I give refund right away. Like you guys said I make lots products for our Z, it takes lots time running back to factories to make sure all items are good. If problem with product I always ask what's wrong with it, so I can have them corrected before more problems comes up. All these issues takes time and effort. I hope you guys understand

Maybe now you do, but you were suspended as a vendor here for failing to ship products and give refunds last summer. Anyone who doubts this go look at page two of his profile.
