If you don't want the backing that comes with the EVO-R emblem, just don't order it. Why pay extra for something you do not want.

Backing or no backing plate they r same price
If it come with two separate piece then I can just color match on my own

I went with the black Evo-R badges. You need the backing.

Mine came with the carbon fiber and looked cheap to me. I copied someone else's idea and created my own backing (cut from a plastic dealer plate) and painted it body color.

I did a set for JARBLUE and Dreamer too.

Well, I didn't get a call from the dealership regarding my touch up paint Friday but decided to work on the emblems. I put on two coats and decided to peel it off and start over. Here are the emblems ith two coats of gunmetal. I figure another coat or two and then a few coats of gloss. Hopefully, it will look good lol.

Almost forgot the picture:

If this turns out well I may do the door handles as well!

Just out of curiosity, since I don't have a backing plate, does the backing plate cover the entire back or does it just cover the opening? Thanks for your help!

It has to fit into the back of the emblem to sit flush.
