Hail DAMAGE!!!

so we had a bad storm today while i wa at work and i didnt have time to get my Z under a structure an it fuckin hailed really hard and sucks balls... and im super pissed off.. girlfriend thinks im crazy for gettin it fixed but hey its my car an insurance wants a 500 dollar deductible to get it fixed, i saw about 6 dime to nickle sized dints on the hood an roof any suggestions? or what you guys think it will cost.. thanks guys appreciate all of the help on an they roof isnt made of **** its paper thin i swear...

SpawnAeroJohn 08-04-2009 10:15 PM

Roof probobly $400 to do it right
Hood about the same. I used to do body work at a few shops.

Scribe 08-04-2009 10:18 PM

If there are no creases, then I'd check out paintless dent repair. They specialize in just such kind of dings and dents. Essentially, they massage out the stresses in the metal.

You could always order a CF Hood from John, if he gets them out the door soon enough for you (John?).

SpawnAeroJohn 08-04-2009 10:21 PM

We have them ready to order. Nobody is just ordering and we cant afford to make one just to make one. Talk about things being tight!

But DPR is a great way to go if you dont like carbon fiber. I forgot all about it.

+ rep to you good sir for suggesting us!

FuszNissan 08-04-2009 10:23 PM

I would atleast do a CF roof overlay!

SpawnAeroJohn 08-04-2009 10:43 PM

Haha thanks. I think fusz just wanted rep :P JK

If you want to wait to see what some of our parts look like all you have to do is check out some products that Im sure some of our clients will post up pictures of. *COUGH*! fusz..

edeeZee 08-05-2009 12:11 AM

CF it baby!

Or go kevlar so it can be 9mm proof like the U.S. military helmets.

SpawnAeroJohn 08-05-2009 12:18 AM

^ lol I dont think the kevlar we have in stock is militairy grade.

Ryan@IP 08-05-2009 09:21 AM

Sorry to hear about that. Lexington got hit pretty hard yesterday, but Louisville saw some of the worst rainfall I've ever heard of. 6"+ in the span of one hour!

Lloydy 08-05-2009 10:09 AM

OH NO that sucks! This is one of my biggest fears living here in Dallas, everytime we get severe storm warnings, I'm watching the radar/weather programs constantly, then drive to my local Shell station and hide in the car wash when the hail gets close - I don't have covered parking at my apt unfortunately.

kdo2milger 08-05-2009 11:53 AM

man, thats a four letter word fo sho...(hail----that is:))

my parents had an estimate done on their kia, yes kia, i know its not a 370 but should give you some idea..their estimate was for around 1200...

Honestly, I wouldn't even bother trying to fix them. I'd take advantage and go through John for a roof overlay and new hood.

HITLIST 08-08-2009 04:18 PM

Thanks guys i ship out in october so when i get back ill prolly be lookin for a new hood..

Word. My 370 got hit with ~1200 in hail damage a week before I moved into a garaged house. I still haven't fixed it. Checking out my options i guess.

I'd like to make a comment about your girlfriend...dump her now as her BS reaction is a sign being given to you right now of things to expect all the time from her if you ever tie the knot.

Get it straight with the bitch right now when it comes to your cars or else you will forever be fighting about it in the future when you do anything or have to fix anything.

cdawg410 08-08-2009 06:03 PM

PAY THE DEDUCTIBLE, get it over with, it'll make you sick every time you walk to your car if you don't go ahead and get it fixed. If your girlfriend fell and busted out a couple teeth you'd get it fixed.

BMW Killa 08-08-2009 06:22 PM

no pics?

sloterg 08-08-2009 07:10 PM

hey take it easy on the girl.. she doesnt understand cars like we do..

just like when girls get 2 inches off their hair.. to us its not a big deal but every inch is like losing an arm to them.. they have different priorities then me we do

a bunch of my ex's always asked why i did the things i did to my car if its "just gonna break down and this and that" haha they are mysterious creatures

They do have different priorities, you are absolutely correct. The problem is they spend a lifetime trying to make THEIR priorities YOUR priorities. Better open up your eyes too, Dude as you are already showing symptoms of being pussy-whipped.

BanningZ 08-09-2009 12:31 AM

Unless I already had a shop that could do it for cheap, I would go the route of the deductible.

Sorry to hear the misfortune, mother nature is a DB.

Not belittling anyone...stating facts about women...her knowing nothing or little about cars has nothing to do with her thinking what you do with a car is a waste of money...its a socialization process they all go through or pick up because over the past 40 years media (TV, movies, women's magazines) have stuck it in their heads and continuously reinforced it over the last 40 years.

If you don't believe it then watch the TV advertisements and see how the man is always made to look like a stupid duffous azz-wipe not only next to the wife but the kids as well. Talk about changing the traditional patriarchal role the father of a family was meant to have.

In today's world the men are always asking permission from their wive to do anything including spending the money they themselves (the men) earned. That's a bunch of :BS:

Not in this home! :shakes head:

Brazilbro 08-09-2009 03:03 PM

SpawnAeroJohn 08-09-2009 06:32 PM
