Mod order: Wheels or Kit?

Hi all, as a recently new Z owner I wanted to see what the forums thoughts were on what they modded first. Obviously these are opinions and there are variable factors in what would look best first, but just want to see if there was a general consensus is.

What would you rather first mod? wheels or aero?

For me I am running base 18" wheels lowered on Swifts and flushed with 25mm F/ 20mm R spacers. Debating whether I want to keep this setup and pick up the new Carbon Signal lip and skirts or save up for some wheels first.

for dress up, wheels and lowering springs at the same time.

then body kit.

I agree

I say kit then wheels. The only reason is because i believe 20" wheels look better with a body kit, 20' wheels without a kit... is just to much. Lowering springs or coils are a must though.

I agree with kit then wheels. This is one of the only cars that has sexy wheels stock. Even the base wheels look good. Use em while you can, then upgrade wheels and tires when the current tires wear out

Wheels for sure. Unless you are planning to do minor body mods.

1st. He asked wheels or kit. Not wheels or kit or engine mods.

kenchan 08-19-2013 02:19 PM

lowered stock Z with spacers > Z with odd looking pieces with sunken wheels... :ugh:

Thanks for the input guys! I do like how my car is sitting swift+spacer combo but I guess I was trying to jump the gun since Carbon Signal just released their new '13 lip.

Now to save $$$ and think about what wheels to get..

@1st, Totally agree with you on the engine mods which is where my monies has been going into.

kenchan 08-19-2013 02:39 PM

honestly i would give the 2013's facia a tad more time and i am sure there will be others offering different lips and splitters for your car. :)

Body for me. Mine wasn't by choice though, as I hopped a curb and ruined the right skirt. The stock skirts were significantly more expensive, so I went aftermarket. Worked out for the best though. Even NISSAN of FIFE (my dealership) said the new look was very oohh-la-la!
