It's called diminished value. Worth asking about.

So is your car fixed with the AeroJacket fender?
|
Update: Finally got my fenders from AeroJacket today. It took almost 2 weeks just to be shipped and arrive in San Diego. Why so long?? My questions exactly. I got a call from the shipping company that said that they got the shipment but would not be able to deliver it until tomorrow. Fûck that Shît. So I drove down to San Diego and picked the parts up myself so that I could hurry up and get the ball rolling on this repair since I go back to school on Monday and would like my car sooner than later. I took the parts and my car to the shop where I am going to get the repair done and dropped it off to "start" the process. I was feeling hopeful until about 10 minutes ago when the shop owner/my buddy called to inform me that these fenders are shît and that they have no lines to them and that I should look into getting a different pair. But he knows how long it took just to get these so he said if I wanted I could just have them try and "fix" the fenders I brought in.
And that's where I am right now, I told them that since the parts came out of a mold that another pair would be the same. I'm not going to deal with Aero Jacket nor complain because it's not worth my time. I've waited longer for the parts then I thought could be humanly possible especially when they're located a little North of me. So with any luck I'll have my car back next month  (Not) :shakes head: Because of the poor quality of these fenders it's gonna take a lot of time and a lot more money to get them to where they need to be. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks |
They build it after it is ordered. Faster if you pick it up in Gardena. Sorry to hear about the wait.
|
I know that they're made to order, that wasn't the problem. They came "out of the mold" about 4 days after I ordered them, but then sat wrapped and ready to ship in their office for over a week because the shipping company hadn't picked it up yet. When I finally contacted them about picking it up, it was already in route. Axmea did you have a lot of fitment issue and also idk if you saw my comment but where did you get those vents in the fenders?
|
Fitment of the fenders was spot on. No odd gaps or lines. I heard from some that aftermarket fenders aren't consistent and require pro shops to tweak and mod to fit. Sorry about your experience.

And....she's back!
Finally after about a month I got my car back a couple days ago
A few issues throughout the whole ordeal but in the end I'm happy :) These fenders didn't have the mesh molded to the bumped and so I had bought the mesh myself and was planning to drop it off at the body shop so that they could paint it and mold it in for me. But between school, work, and always driving a different car I would never have the time to drop it off so when I got the phone call saying that my car was finished and that the fenders were already on the car so they wouldn't be able to put the mesh on for me I thought I was SOL. But I finished installing them myself this morning (which sucked) by squeezing though the wheel well lined and trying to shape and attach it. So here she is :tiphat: http://i821.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps3d7dab21.jpg http://i821.photobucket.com/albums/z...psff518e38.jpg |
Glad you have it back. Car looks good!
