Side blades?

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone knows of any side blades available in polyurethane? Also looking for ones that don't stick out quite as far as the EVO-R ones. Something like this... (I photoshopped the Ings+1 blades here).

Any ideas? I can't find anything.
Thanks!

^^ That is a rear diffuser. OP is looking for side skirts/blades/splitters lol whatever you want to call them.

I am also looking for cheaper alternatives. I don't really care what the material is or paint color because I plan to plastidip them anyways.

$150-200 product would be nice though

I wonder if we have enough interest to maybe start a gb if any vendors are interested.

DEpointfive0 07-27-2013 02:12 AM

Didn't we have that one random guy who said his friend made them for him and he said he could make more for us? Looked very similar

dP3NGU1N 07-27-2013 02:30 AM

I suppose the alternative would be to go to IMS and grind some steel and bolt some real blades to the sides =P

Thanks. Yeah those are nice, but unfortunately I don't think they'll work on the 370. The 370 side skirts have that sharp curve toward the center. The 350's are more straight. :(

:iagree: though if anyone made it work I'd be interested. UNtil then I'm sub'd for potential gb.

I actually got pretty far with him. He told me his friend was going to make a set of side blades for $150. They looked pretty good.

Someone could make a killing on this forum if they were to build some cheap sides for our car that look good haha!

Ill dig around for the pics. And maybe try and get a hold of him again.

Should have more updates regarding post#1 in the next few days... stay tuned guys!

kenchan 07-29-2013 10:01 AM

anyone make just the piece that goes in front of the rear quarter arch?

i dont want the entire 'deck' looking sidestep thing since i dont have CF pieces that go under where the rear splash guards are. will look too wierd.

i have the ings front and want a small side piece.

RedZed34 08-05-2013 05:42 PM

Sorry for the delay guys. Well, it doesn't look like my plans are going to work out after all :(. I contacted a mfg. overseas to get my "prototype" side blades made in poly and the costs are just too much after getting a mold made. Plus I would need a group buy of about 35-40 people to start. It was just alot to coordinate, so I didnt go forward with it.

I actually ended up buying the same ones that "Rob63" posted above. To me they look better than the EVO-R blades. Just came in today actually! :) Pricing was pretty good on them, however, I had to ship them from the UK to here (US). Ended up costing around $340 shipped all said and done... but I think they are going to look great once I color match them to matte black.

zilverbullet 08-05-2013 09:00 PM

What brand of sides is that?

They are made by Tarmac Sportz in the UK. Here's the link to their website: http://tarmac.silver-pride.com/Default.aspx They dont have the sides listed on there yet (because they're a new release), but you can just email them for more details. Ask for Chris... very helpful!

Guard Dad 08-07-2013 07:19 AM

They are made of plasticized wood siding (Trex is one brand) from Lowe's. The stuff doesn't absorb water or swell or warp when damp. It will expand and contract some due to temperature but it hasn't been a problem. It takes just about any type of paint and can be fabricated with wood working tools. It is approximately a 50/50 blend of wood and plastic.

NickTurnon 09-29-2013 01:55 PM

I made some cheap mockups in my build thread.

Nowhere near the quality of name brand companies, but for a cheap DIY... I'll take it.

I will probably refab them as needed. I am just sort of in a testing phase right now. Don't know how long these will last, but I like the look.

id like to change mines to poly
