Color for the Amuse Kit

hey everyone! :happydance: I just purchased an Amuse kit and wonder which black to paint the black section of the bumper. I am thinking magnetic black or some other black colors. Any suggestions?

I've personally always liked a satin black for any black accents. Personal preference really.

Satin black is best for that section. Where'd you get yours? Real or replica?

Imo, thats irrelevant.

Personally, I wouldn't do satin black, I'd do it in gloss black because I plan to do the roof in the same black to make it all flow.

Last but no least, official Amuse has the kit in CF now, whether yours is a rep or not, i think it looks great in CF so thats another option.

I wasn't trying to say whether it was a good or bad thing. I was going to further inquire about how much his real/replica kit cost and see whether the deal I've been offered was worth it.....

Now that the real kit offers it with CF, there will be no way of telling the real from the rep.

Magnetic black would be cool because it would have the same metal flake appearance. Stain black looks better for accents and would probably match your tint better (when you do your roof). Just my .02

I've always thought the real kit's fiberglass was white while the reps were black. Does that still hold true?

Nope, Aerojacket, for example, has the kit in white frp.

Amuse has been offering CF for at least a year now.

here's the official car, look closely at the bumper accent.

You can open up the pics of the CF on the website next to the "new カーボンMIX", it literally means Carbon Mix.

im sure fitment will tell you, and im sure the carbon will look way better on the amuse...but that I'm just speculating.

cooltoy 04-15-2013 05:05 PM

Fitment is as good on the reps.

Not true, talk to Phelan his car was one of the first US cars with the real amuse and the bodyshop had to do a good amount of tweaking to get it to fit. Any kit, real or replica amuse or otherwise will need a bit of tweaking to make it perfect.

:iagree:

Any company (original or reproduction) that tells you their aftermarket bodykit/hood/fender,etc fit 100% perfect, they are full of shit.

Now some do fit really good... but not 100% perfect.

What spoiler are you going to be going with? The Amuse or did you decide on a diffrent one....
