Intelligent key signal not steering lock?
2009 with 55 k miles. No steering lock problems so far. Signal came on today while driving. Car has started a couple times after. Anyone had the signal on the dash and not have steering lock or is it inevitable that I'm headed there?

Try using your spare, or just replace the batteries. |
Funny but I'm having a similar issue. I get the warning all the time while driving, sweat the dreaded lock problem but it hasn't happened so far. I replaced the battery in the FOB but still get the no-key warning while driving around. I have an appt. next week for the recall.

I think that's what happen to mine before mine went out. definitely take it to the dealer and get that part replaced!

It's not the low battery alert on the little computer screen it's the old school symbol on the tac. Seems like I may be heading for hell soon. Better call tomorrow and get it replaced regardless.

Had the key light come on over the summer they replaced the switch on the clutch for the cruise control . did not have any problems afterward but removed my fuse for steering lock anyway .

I have my steering lock fuse removed and I'm having similar issues. Only happens when I go to start the car... will get the "No Key" symbol on the dash and then shows me a symbol to put the FOB into the slot... starts every time when the key is in the slot. Yes, I've replaced the battery in the FOB.

It's not the no key symbol it's the intelligent key symbol. Someone who understands the difference please chime in any advice. Guys check your owners manuals before answering incorrect answers on the wrong symbol.

mine was on with the intelligent key symbol
