That is strange. We tested the piece with a forum member before we offered it.
We have sold quite a few of them, This is the first problem I've heard of.

hhhhmmmm?

I wish I knew why.. :/

You could just take off the cover, note the signal strength and then put the cover back on and see if the signal lessens....in open view of the sky of course. Coincidentally SXM could have turned off the terrestrial transmitter in your area that day....I know my Z loses it under shade trees driving. Ever since SXM turned off the terrestrial signal in our area my reception has been terrible. I have to use an iPod now.

Covering up a small antenna for a weak microwave signal.....figured it out yet?

I'm not trying to be rude. But why would you cover an antenna and not expect to get poor reception.

since we are on the topic of antennas, does anyone know how to remove the factory antenna? Im goin to vinyl my roof and would like to remove and and put it back on after. its it just held by 3m tape?

cycy89 03-26-2013 10:39 PM

i had my roof and antenna wrapped without removing it

XM radio doesnt have the best signal, it's worse with the cover.
