Clear Bra and 35% Window Tint on Platinum Graphite

I recently had a Venture clear bra and 35% ceramic window tint installed on my Platinum Graphite Z. Since others here have expressed interest in various threads on both of these things, I thought I'd post the pictures that my installer sent me:

As you might expect, you can't see the bra! ;) However, the bra covers the entire front clip (including the headlight lens, hood, fenders, and front fascia), back of the sideview mirrors, and the A-pillars. And I thought the 35% tint on the rear and side windows looks great, not to mention that the reduction in interior heat when sitting out in the sun was immediately noticeable!

For you Southern California guys, the installer I used is UltimateShield in Orange (Ultimate Shield Home Page) - they did great work and had the car ready in less than a day! No worries with these guys!

HTH!

Not to come off as a jerk, but I'm betting the braline is one of these lines (if I'm seeing it...)

The bottom line is my bet, since I see it in the other shots as well, but I could be wrong and it's the upper line...or I could be entirely wrong and what I'm seeing isn't it!

Car looks great. My dealer told me they do the 3m shield.
But they said it will be a $1,000 add. How much was it done independently?

Wow!!!

Mine said it'd be in the ballpark of $600.

For $1000, you could get half the car touched up and re-cleared...even for $600, you could do that for the bumper (which will catch the majority of it)

Clear-bra I got estimated for in Houston was I think 550 for most all major parts.

Just had a clear bra installed on my yellow at Protect-A-Shield in Scottsdale, AZ. They did the hood up to the end of the headlights, front bumper, fenders, headlights, mirror backs, A-pillars and a piece in front of the rear wheels for $650. I couldn't be happier! :icon17: On the yellow you have to look hard to see the line on the hood - most people have a hard time finding it. I was very pleased with the installation and the price.

Nope.

A number of you missed it in my post - the ENTIRE front clip of the car was covered. That includes the ENTIRE hood (there is no bra-line on the hood), the ENTIRE front fenders, both A-pillars, the headlight lenses, and ALL of the painted surfaces of the front fascia.

If that is for the ENTIRE front clip (entire hood, fenders, etc.), then that's a very good price. If they're just doing a partial hood, fenders, etc., then that's expensive.

But, after you've found a dealer you trust and the right price, definitely have it done - it's cheap compared to what you paid for the car and it will keep the front end looking new for many, many years.

I don't want to post the price I paid, but to have the ENTIRE front clip done costs well over $1,000.

Wow, that's cool.

I have to wonder, what would it cost to have the whole car done? ;)

Call it Car-Armor.

Yep 550 bones is what I paid at the same place. Need to get the headlights done though.

I could ask Ultimate Shield if you want, but my guess is $2200 - $2500 or so.

Sorry to hijack. Have anyone check out the full clear bra kit at 3m Clear Bras and bulk film They are roughly $265 + shipping and they got both 3M and ventureshield.
