wow Simota that is just plain horrible.

I must say though every week i see a thread about a mod your doing! awesome man, good luck with it all.

update.... baker emailed me... i wonder why.... i would like to thank everyone for pushing me to do a dispute.... he says they are gonna forward the dispute to UPS because they messed it up... lets keep our fingers crossed

:( i just woke up and opened up my paypal.. they closed my dispute because it passed the 45 days that sucks

Wow thats brutal. I hope you can get some kind of compensation for the damages/missing parts. But thanks for the review, I was thinking about ordering parts from them as well but not anymore :tup:

Thats sucks that they closed it.

Hopefully they see that their credibility is being questioned and they will still follow though with UPS and work on resolving.

Like Mike and other members said, as a vendor you have to be smart. Realize who you are dealing with (whether its a poster with 5K or 3 posts) your reputation carries you a long way and often brings loyal customers.

im really hoping they continue with the UPS... :( if not this is one of those charge to experience kinda moments... thanks to baker im freaking paranoid a little from buying on vendors with "good deals" now... thanks

sorry this happened to you simota. Paul at Baker is a good guy and told me the same, UPS messed them up. Hope everything gets worked out.

Don't know if it was covered or not but go to the BBB website and press file a complaint. It's pretty straightforward and they can get the job done for you. It at least puts more pressure on them. You HAVE to get your money back or credit or something. Good luck!

how exactly do i file a BBB complaint? does anyone have their website?

they probably aren't even registered with the BBB just saying...

Did you pay by cc? Even when I use paypal I use my cc for another line of defense. Its amazing what they can do for you. Try giving them a call if you did.

although im pretty sure i lost this battle with baker because i was to nice of a guy and trusted that twisted moron.... i will forever hate paul at baker tuning and i hope that this thread lives on so they lose potential customers... f*ck you baker tuning i hope you see this

You know what though...
If you look through that thread, you see that 99% of people have had good experiences there...

I never went to Baker North (Baker Tuning), I got an estimate for a header install though... And I DID live at Baker South, and their service was grade A to say THE LEAST... Hell, I even posted on Baker North's Facebook about getting some 370Z wipers. Within 2 min Brad Baker posted that my wipers would be at Baker South waiting for me the next day and he sent me a message saying that he's giving me their old buy one get one half off (or free) deal too...
So for me... That level of service is unmatched...

I have dealt with........... 10 dealerships (Baker N/S considered 1) in the past 2 years... And no one, I mean NO ONE can offer their level of service...
I bullshít you not, I've considered driving my car back to Houston for them to service it and do warranty work on it.


Again, as for Simota, even though I got good service, I think he should rape them in any and every way. I'll even help just because I feel bad for the little guy

If it wasnt for Brad and Paul I wouldnt be driving the car I have now. They have been awesome about getting me parts and service. Brad is even letting me make payments on some Top Secret Coilovers that I cant afford lol because he really wants me to have them since I have a Top Secret car and he wants me to complete it. That just shows you what kind of guy he is. Just so you know though, there have been some changes in the past few months which may be the cause to your headache. Brad is no longer working for his dad due to personal reasons. And Paul moved to the south store. So honestly Im not sure what the future of Baker Tuning holds due to all the changes.

Baker tuning is still doing it, spoke to Paul today, and ordering my Tanabe y-pipe on Monday. Paul works between both locations during the week. Hope everything worked out for Simota1!:tiphat:

nope... didnt work out... and i gave up... in my book i will forever hate paul and in my eyes he is a complete jacka$s for kicking me to the curb and not helping me out with my parts.... i went straight to the source already for all my jdm parts no more middle man bull$hit for me.... :tup:
