Anyone have their Z vinyl wrapped?

If you do post some pics! I am thinking about doing it. I had a few places in mind, with quotes from 1200-5500... Very expensive in my opinion. What do you all think? I want to wrap my car because i have a lot of chips and scratches, especially on the hood and front bumper. It bugs the hell out of me everytime i look at it! So i figured this would be cheaper than getting a new paint job. If you have your car wrapped, or pictures of a freinds car (any make/model) please post up pics and approximate cost, as well as pros/cons you have personally run into. Thanks guys!

i think hood and bumper repaint + clearbra will be cheaper.

but anyway, we did see a member here a couple of months ago with this olive green color full car wrap. i thought it was matte gray at first looking through my thinkpad. not sure how much he paid.

You can get your whole car wrapped from someone off craigslist for $500-800 bucks. Now, do you trust them? Thats up for you to decide.

I am stubborn and like to do things myself. So if I wanted to vinyl my car, i would buy a roll and do it myself. But thats just me...

Anyways, the vinyl will show all the rock chips and scratches that your hood and front bumper have. For a proper vinyl job, those flaws will need to be touched up, or the vinyl will look funny.

Anyways, vinyl comes in so many colors that if you have a white car and decide to go black, you can get a gloss black and it will cost much less then paint and will look nearly identical.

Nice, yeah i'm wondering if i should just get it painted... I would totally try to vinyl it myself, but i would only have time to do one section at a time, i would look like an idiot rolling around we one part done at a time lol

Thinking about it for $2200 with the door jams done... ehhh. There's just so much more to do with the $$$.

i have a black Z and i have the same problem you have. The front bumper is just so difficult to keep up with. If you really want to wrap the car, you can wrap some easy part by yourself so you can save a little bit of $$. What i was thinking is to repaint the front bumper and wrap the hood with carbon fiber. although it's not a carbon fiber hood, at least i can protect the hood from chips.

Have you started it yet? Is this going to be your first time wrapping a car?

Trying to decide if I would like to wrap my car later down the road.
