You are correct about pricing. It has been established by Bomex; I followed up with Bomex to find out the release date and last I heard, it is uncertain. The pricing is legit though :happydance:.

A bit new at this, but does the item come pre-painted or is that on our end?

No worries. A majority of aftermarket items come from the factory "ready to paint" but not fully painted. As most people know it is actually more tedious to order an item from a supplier, painted. Even though it is the same color it will be different shades/hues due to weathering of the paint on the actual car; so even if a part is ordered pre-painted, it will have to be painted/blended so that everything matches.

so in other words, it comes unpainted I assume.

Paint on that small of a part shouldn't be too difficult. While our Z's are pretty new the matching shouldn't be difficult either.

I agree. In the end I would rather base recommendations off of past experiences so that I minimize my chances of making the wrong recommendation to a client; under promise and over deliver as they say ;)

Looks nice, never said that about a bomex part before. I'll have to see real photos though

so it comes UNPAINTED? meaning we have to paint it ourselves when we get it?

That is how they normally come, that way you can get a body shop that can match the color much better than them being painted before ever seeing your car.

I much prefer this to it coming pre-painted myself.

ooooh ok! thanks for the info.
since the nismo parts are soon to be available, i'm stuck on which to get.

nismo front bumper/lip vs. bomex lip with black fangs

what do you guys think?

theDreamer 08-01-2009 08:37 PM

I am looking at Bomex front lip with black fangs and Nismo rear bumper.
