Evo-R rear fog lights !!!HELP!!!
 

okay so i have a 2012 370Z as you know the 2012 Z 3rd brake lights blinks and flashes as well for the first 2 seconds.

soo my problem is that the evo-r and my 3rd brake lights are not in sync and it looks kinda stupid and funny when i hit the brakes.... ='[

any input or suggestion would help! thanks

good luck trying to get them to sync, they probably are built with different resistors. best thing i would say to do is to sell the evo-r one and get a reg nissan one that doesn't flash.

I didn't know that. No one has ever mentioned that.

Simple fix, wire the light so it doesn't blink when you stop. Mine blinks in reverse and comes on solid when I hit the brakes.

What you are trying to do is the equivalent of trying to sync the regular and nav clocks - impossible. Save yourself the frustration.

strange, the evo r u can make it flash, but 3rd brake light should not be flashing at all!

OP said his 3rd brake light flashes on his '12. I am saying mine does not.

I am wondering since he already wired up the Evo-R fog light and now his 3rd brake light is out of sync if maybe he spliced something wrong. Thus causing the 3rd brake light to begin flashing.

My '12 3rd brake light does not blink. I would have noticed this a couple weeks ago when I was tinted my tail lights and installed them.

Sounds like incorrect wiring to me....

My 2012, third brake light doesn't blink, just double checked. My EVO fog light does when I brake though.

I have my EVO-R fog light to blink when I brake, and come ON with my regular lights.

If you don't want your fog light to blink, don't hook up the "blink" wire. Simple as that. :tup:

Check your wiring. None of our Z's blink.

video works but my 2012 3rd brake light does not flash either......did you buy used or new? Seems like someone installed a flashing resistor on the 3rd brake light cause that is definitely not from factory......

i bought it brand new in apr 1 2012

and its always blinked like that? even before the EVO-R foglight install? Someone at the dealership experiment cause that is definitely not normal lol.

Lol it really is! I've seen a lot of Z's. None of which had a blinking 3rd brake light from factory lol

You got to much going on there. Its a light show. Solid on solid is the way to go or solid with evo blink.
