Aftermarket LED Interior Lights

I searched and couldn't find a thread on LED interior lighting. I was wondering who's changed them out and where they bought the bulbs. I've seen kits anywhere from $15 to $75.

Who's done it, how's it look, where'd you buy it, and how much?

If this is a double post, please let me know, I'm a noob to the forum!:ughdance:

I've used both the JWM and Third Gear LEDs, and they both worked great.

USMCASA 01-18-2013 12:28 PM

The ones that are for the visor (or whatever they're called, see the circled items below):

I saw the ones on superbrightleds, but they only have the 1 led option I think. I couldn't find one on their website with the 3 leds that I found on another website.

Thanks for the suggestions. You won't find a brighter kit with a better warranty

We also offer a toned down version for subtle light output.

That pic is also with both map lights on...would obviously be more subtle with only one on

I like the whites

I got a pair on Ebay before the end of summer, at night, its like daytime in my car, crazy bright. Love it. Definitely a must change

I imagine it gets even brighter if you swap out the map light lens for the GTR ones?

Looks like the 9 LED Pod kit is what I'm looking for, the brighter the better! Do you have a pic of a red kit installed?

Thanks, looking forward to doing business with you!

Red isn't too popular for the 370Z customers.

Pic 1 is the subtle kit

Pic 2 is (1) of these led pods in a Camaro. Your Z uses (2) of these so they will be even brighter!

SLIK Z 01-23-2013 09:05 PM

Just submitted my order, looking forward to it. Will post pics after install!

Just wanted to say that I got my LEDs and I couldn't be happier. Took 10 minutes to install and it was truly a plug and play. Here's a few pics with my crappy camera. Thanks JWM!

JWMotoring 01-29-2013 07:32 AM

Looks good thanks again!

Quick question, I installed some LEDs for the interior, they weren't the 9 LED pods, is it normal for the LEDs to stay on real dim even if the car is off? Are the LEDs defective or is it normal? Here's a picture of the lights on and off.

definitely not normal.

however there are certain LEDs that have a parasitic (I think that's the proper term) drain.

I'd suggest to replace with other brand LEDs.

Elan 08-11-2013 03:40 AM

I got mine from iJDMtoy and 3 bulbs were defective. Same with superbrightleds. I'd go with JWM because they offer a 30 day warranty. It gave me peace of mind. Plus they were some high quality bulbs for a good price.

ALLLL mine stay on really dim (only when the car is ON) so no parasitic drain issues

I think it's kinda cool

And for the record, I eBay ALLLL my LEDs from China/HK

We see it once in a while on these cars and others. It's the car not the leds causing it.

You shouldn't have any issues if you start the car regularly. If you leave it parked for a while you might want to use a battery tender.

So you replace plastic warning labels with lights? Please educate me on your method.

They were online answering questions a few days ago, so I'd assume they are still in business.
