The weather stripping reinstalls on the new panels and then for installing it on the car instead of clips there will be 3M tape.

will it have that black border around it.. or will the whole thing look like complete cf?

SpawnAeroJohn 07-15-2009 11:28 PM

Black boarder! The super sharp turn and very small edges makes the cf look distored. If it were just an overlay there would be no black boarder but in person the black boarder really highlightes the CF.

Ill post pics when my photobucket is working >:/

No pics on gray?

Also can you guys do carbon kevlar parts?

SpawnAeroJohn 07-16-2009 05:22 PM

No pics on gray yet :( But we can do carbon / kevlar! Right now we have blue and yellow in stock (enough to make B pillars)

We can also get green, silver (hexcel texcelium) and zylon/carbon. Lighter and stronger that carbon fiber (its a new fabric and that comes in bronze)

ill vouch for the bronze colored fabric we have been using it on the helicopters i work on for years and its very strong

Did a little research, the Zylon stuff sounds great, but from what I saw its a little hard to work with? Making it not really all that practical to make something a little more complex out of?

The hexcel is going to be a little too reflexive for me.

Still looking at the carbon and the carbon kevlar though :)

SpawnAeroJohn 07-17-2009 03:51 PM

We can work with zylon no problem. It is a tad thicker but for all the stuff we have so far. Its no problem. If we were making parts with a dozen tight turns then yes its difficult. But for rear valences, roofs, etc its no problemo.
