We use the best qulaity dupont clear coat available on todays market. It dries to a rock hard coating.

As far as pictures of it put up. Ill see what I can do by just going to a local dealer and placing them on just to snap pictures but I dont know how that will go ha.

FuszNissan 07-14-2009 08:09 PM

Why don't you just ship them to me and I will take pics of them installed for you.....and then misplace them :ugh2:

SpawnAeroJohn 07-14-2009 11:39 PM

Sneaky snake! PMed!

takimbe 07-15-2009 12:09 AM

money sent! when I get them ill install and take pics asap! thanks!

bullitt5897 07-15-2009 07:57 AM

Hey John,

How will they install as a replacement part? There are tabs that the OEM pieces attach to that go into the body? What about the weather striping around the piece?

SpawnAeroJohn 07-15-2009 08:14 AM

The weather stripping reinstalls on the new panels and then for installing it on the car instead of clips there will be 3M tape.

SpawnAeroJohn 07-15-2009 03:32 PM

Clear coated pics coming today!

RCZ 07-15-2009 03:34 PM

tonmed123 07-15-2009 10:46 PM

Me too, money sent!:ughdance:

DJcuetip 07-15-2009 11:18 PM

will it have that black border around it.. or will the whole thing look like complete cf?

SpawnAeroJohn 07-15-2009 11:28 PM

Black boarder! The super sharp turn and very small edges makes the cf look distored. If it were just an overlay there would be no black boarder but in person the black boarder really highlightes the CF.

Ill post pics when my photobucket is working >:/

RCZ 07-16-2009 04:46 PM

No pics on gray?

Also can you guys do carbon kevlar parts?

SpawnAeroJohn 07-16-2009 05:22 PM

No pics on gray yet :( But we can do carbon / kevlar! Right now we have blue and yellow in stock (enough to make B pillars)

We can also get green, silver (hexcel texcelium) and zylon/carbon. Lighter and stronger that carbon fiber (its a new fabric and that comes in bronze)

ill vouch for the bronze colored fabric we have been using it on the helicopters i work on for years and its very strong

RCZ 07-17-2009 02:50 PM

Did a little research, the Zylon stuff sounds great, but from what I saw its a little hard to work with? Making it not really all that practical to make something a little more complex out of?

The hexcel is going to be a little too reflexive for me.

Still looking at the carbon and the carbon kevlar though :)

SpawnAeroJohn 07-17-2009 03:51 PM

We can work with zylon no problem. It is a tad thicker but for all the stuff we have so far. Its no problem. If we were making parts with a dozen tight turns then yes its difficult. But for rear valences, roofs, etc its no problemo.

SpawnAeroJohn 07-20-2009 09:26 PM

tonmed123 07-25-2009 11:46 PM

Anyone gotten their pillars yet?

SpawnAeroJohn 07-26-2009 01:21 AM

We are still in the works of finishing a few sets. We have had a bad week of problems so we are looking forward to a new start with fresh materials and cleared heads. Everybody knows that sometimes we all have to have one of "those weeks".

I will be contacting everybody individually tomorrow :)

Equinox 07-27-2009 02:53 PM

Suscribed to this thread! Looks great, very subtle - I can't wait to see the window deletes as well!

SpawnAeroJohn 07-28-2009 07:03 PM

Thanks! Bump to the top! Read the specifications about these parts so you know all you are getting for the price!

Just wanted to let everybody know that were delaying the B pillars a few days because instead of patting everythign down and vacuum bagging the products like other companies. We have made a full conversion to vacuum infusion which offers the best quality available. It doesnt get better then vacuum infusion. So hold tight guys if anybody has any questions or concernes please PM me :)

Just FYI with vacuum infusion that guarantees a 100% perfect ratio of carbon fiber to resin. This makes the part cleaner, straighter weave (patting it with a brush can sometimes angle the weave in different directions) lighter, and stronger.

Just another step we take to make better parts :)

CCCLXXZ 07-31-2009 10:04 PM

I couldn't imagine how much lighter and stronger a B-Pillar cover would need to be? Do they experience some stresses that I am not aware of? Also 100% perfect resin ratio would be pre-preg carbon where it is produced in a controlled enviroment,... I can only imagine how many months it will take to get the first carbon hood out, or roof, or hatch or... you get my point.

:wtf2:

Plasmaball 07-31-2009 10:57 PM

whats the point of these?

SpawnAeroJohn 07-31-2009 11:46 PM

^ It adds 30 hp

Shunya 08-01-2009 09:23 AM

SpawnAeroJohn 08-01-2009 09:28 AM

:happydance:

Plasmaball 08-01-2009 08:56 PM

do they create less drag so i can reach 88 miles per hour?

SpawnAeroJohn 08-01-2009 10:47 PM

Yes.

SpawnAeroJohn 08-08-2009 10:04 PM

Thought I'd post a few pictures I snapped last night of a finished CF B pillar that was infused with resin. Videos coming soon and I'm sorry it took so long to get pictures of one finished with no black boarder. It took us quite some time to perfect the vacuum infuseing process that works best for us. And now we are just focusing on producing products over and over again to get those who ordered their stuff pronto!

Ill post pictures with a nice DSLR camera monday but this is just to show you guys the AMAZING quality that we doubt our competitors can match.

Notice the beautiful corners and edges on how clear they are and how neat the weave is pshed into those edges.

DJcuetip 08-09-2009 04:50 AM

Nice!
