Default Disabling Windows

I recently got my car tinted and it looks fantastic but the windows keep screwing with my tint while its drying. Does anyone know if there is a fuse or a way I can disable the windows entirely or just disable the little 1/8" it goes down when you open the door to allow my tint to dry better?

Thanks!

Jeremy

No way that I know of to stop the windows from going down when you open the door. When I got mine tinted, this caused the tint to start peeling back in the corner at the lower front of the window. I took it back to the shop and when he replaced the tint he used a heat gun to cure the tint right after he installed it. I have not had any more problems with it since then.

there's a sensor that you can keep depressed if I recall correctly that prevents the windows from doing that.

However, any good tint shop will put in more than enough so that it won't matter. I told my tinter about the automatic window thing and he said there's many cars out there that the windows do the exact same thing, not just ours, so they knew how to handle it. I opened and closed my door at least 5 times the same day and didn't have any issues at all.

leave the windows down a bit so it doesn't seal shut completely....just until it dries.

If the shop you are taking it to does the job right, it won't matter. The last 4 cars I had, had this same feature where the window goes down automatically and it never affected the tint.

All you have to do is remove the one screw in the door jamb with the black rubber cover, that will stop the window from dropping when opening.

It resets when you disconnect the battery. It's a computer program that causes the windows to drop slightly or raise when opening or closing the door. So just disconnect the battery real quick and don't do the "fix" (pushing the window buttons down and holding then up and holding) and they won't move at all when you open/close the door.

I know but it's easier to remove 1 screw problem solved.
