Any recommendation for brighter license plate light?

Hey guys,

I am looking for brighter license plate lights so I can actually see out my backup camera. I have seen super bright ones like the ones that come on my Lexus, just curious to see if i can get something similar for the Z

Thanks

You could pick up some replacement LEDs for next to nothing. There's at least a couple of vendors that sell them here on the forums.

Check out v-LEDs website. I got my plate bulbs from them.

Check these out, support a vendor:

I don't have these personally, but they look like they might fit what you're looking for.

I replaced the plate light and the back up lights with LEDs. It's like having headlights out the back now when I back down my drive.

I thought the reverse light illuminates the surroundings better?

Agreed. While the license plate LEDs will help, the reverse lights do the majority of the illumination.

This is what I am using right now. It looks bright, but the output is nowhere close to light my camera in the dark. I am not sure if it is a light issue or camera issue.

Why don't you put it in reverse and compare with the backup lights...

that light is easier to change than the back up light
