Side skirt width for various body kits.

Should this be made into a sticky?

I am in the market for a body kit. I like the Amuse kit, but have concerns about the skirts scraping on my driveway. For the last several month I have been bugging people for some measurements so I could visualize how low the skirts are. Thank you to those that helped, and to those that did not that's OK.

I measured a completely stock car and then extrapolated how low that same stock car would be with Amuse skirts, Varis skirts and Stillen skirts. I put together some diagrams and hopefully they can be useful to someone.

Those that have these skits please feel free to confirm my numbers.

I'm sure you mean side skirt height. ;)

For Amuse you're looking at:
4.8 inches (5 inches on your picture)
5.25 inches (6.5 inches on your picture)
11 inches (11 inches on your picture)

At least these were the numbers I came up with from using a random tape measure against the side skirts lol. Then again there isn't a standard way of measuring them because of the odd shape so who knows? Take my numbers with a grain of salt I guess.

I measured the stock car (that is all I have access to) on the inside of the front and back wheel wells. Those to me would be the lowest points of the skirts front and back. I am not 100% sure how the people that helped me get the numbers measured. I tried to explain how I did it, hopefully they did the same.

I am glad you have confirmed the 11", and I think you are the second person to give me the 4.8" measurement.

I am hoping to help other people trying to decide on kits and the more accurate I can get these measurements the better it will be for them.

There are very few 370Z in Calgary and none with kits, so I can not just go and measure them.

anybody with #'s for the nismo skirts?

cooltoy 09-28-2013 03:47 PM

Just PM somebody with a Nismo, and I can put those numbers on a diagram.

I am glad it helped.

That's why maybe it should be a sticky.
