RainX Latitude Wipers

Has anyone tried to install the Rain-X Latitude Wipers? I was installing mine today and I had trouble closing the clip down. One of the clip actually broke off. Has this happened to anyone or is it just me? It seems like the cheap plastic part sucks.

I bought the Latitude and was able to install them easily. However, I took them off. The mount on the stock wiper blades is on the bottom of the blade and they sit down lower on the windshield. With the Latitudes, the mount is on top so even at rest, I could see the wiper arms sticking up.

I went back to stock with new refills. The stock blades work very well anyway.

How did you remove the refill for the stock blade? I'm having a hard time removing it. At one end it says "Tip" and the other "Lock." Does it matter which side you try to take the refill out from? I saw 2 metal sticks inside the refill, what am I suppose to do with that?

It was a minor pain to install on my 350z, you may have installed it backwards first

This is the one I bought, it is a complete replacement not just the blades:

There should be more than one adaptor, just find one that works with your car

i had the rainx brand for a year and the sun ate them up. the plastic deteriorated horribly. im now using the bosch brand that are similar in structure. they are holding up great after a year.

You need to regularly treat them or any wiper with a armorall type cleaner to prevent the plastic from cracking

im talking about the actual wiper housing it self. ive not treated the bosch ones with anything. not even aerospace 303 (im all about protecting the plastic too) and they still look like new.

the rain x were fine but deteriorated in a year. the same conditions for the bosch ones and they are holding up great.

just giving you guys my 2cents, especially since ive used both.

ok cool, that is just weird that I'm on 2 years on mine and no issue.

I will look into the Bosch if I have any issues though!

When I got my zed, one of the factory wipers was bent and only wiped off the outside edges of the blades (so along the length, there was a two-three inch band in the center which wiped poorly), so I replaced it with a bosch icon. I've since run them for three years, one OEM and one Bosch. Still work like new.

bosch marathon on my 350...they were great and inexpensive at Wallyworld. Going to switch to them on the 370 as well.

My Bosch Icons are amazing! besides the price...lol
