rear wiper or no rear wiper?

so does anyone know if the us spec wioll get a rear wiper? i see a rear washer but no wiper.any guesses?

nogoodname 12-08-2008 09:47 AM

interesting, the case of the wiper....lol....I wouldnt really want it

tranceformer 12-08-2008 10:04 AM

I deleted the rear wiper on my 350z, and sure as hell wouldn't want one on the 370z (if i decide to get one).

Judging from the pictures I've seen, it doesn't look like we're getting one. *fingers crossed*

had one on my 350 i kinda like using it. just wanted to know all the pics so far dont have it. and what about 3rd break light on the buttom bumper. any word on that?

shumby 12-12-2008 01:20 AM

i hope it dose not have it.

cow 12-12-2008 02:41 PM

I use my 350's wiper all the time. I wish we'd have one, but the USDM is not getting said piece.

bboypuertoroc 12-12-2008 02:50 PM

From all the pics I've seen, there's no wiper.

You really should do a bit of research. This has been discussed MANY times.

1. It's not a brake light. It's a fog light.
2. The US won't get it. It's a required piece of equipment in other parts of the world.
3. Yes, Nissan was too lazy to work it out of the US design. We're stuck with it until body kits start coming out.

3SeventyZ 12-20-2008 06:39 PM

I hope it doesnt have it on the US version.
It looks a lot cleaner without.

Agreed. I do use it all the time but I don't think the US version will get it though.

Slidefox 12-20-2008 11:20 PM

It comes in handy...

Especially on dewy mornings, or at a stop light when it's raining.

I wish the 370 were getting the piece.

Yeah me too. Oregon and no wiper?! :eek2:

cow 12-21-2008 10:07 AM

Louisiana & no wiper is *almost* as bad.

You're a smart guy. Design a rear wiper for the car.

Crash 12-26-2008 06:15 AM

I use it on my 300zx and I've only had the car for a few months... First time I've ever had one and I'm glad I do. When it gets cold in Los Angeles, NO window is safe from the morning due.

It's been raining her over the past few days, and man that thing is great. I hope they have it on US spec cars. It's easy to remove it from any car, but it's not easy to add one!

+1 for a rear wiper blade.

dave 01-02-2009 10:21 AM

no answer on the wiper not being there. do we think it will be on the 2010 z when it comes out? i might wait.

Supergoji 01-05-2009 07:25 PM

you could always order the the assembly in japan. and drill and install it yourself.

although rain x does work wonders.

3SeventyZ 01-11-2009 07:43 AM

i never really used it on the 350. Maybe a dozen times overall.
i think it gives the car a cleaner look without.

Same here. Never had one until we got our Element and now I want one on all my cars.

Crash 01-11-2009 02:01 PM

Yep. Never needed one until my 300zx... Wow... Cool!

litefire 03-21-2009 11:38 AM

Wipers look hokey in the back although they are useful.

gromano 05-24-2011 07:29 PM

I have an Australian 370z and we got the wipers standard....

im thinking of removing mine if its not too much hassle coz i dont like the look of it and apart from some dewy mornings i never really use it!!

RainX on the rear windshield looks and works better!

Anyone know how i would go about removing it? cant seem to find anything on this forum....

Javier 09-01-2020 03:15 AM

Hello Gromano,
Need some help, can you please identify the location of the the two wires at the BCM that go to the rear wiper motor? Or even better if you can take pictures of the connectors on the BCM and I could match them up. anything you can do would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards
Javier
