nice dood!!! :happydance: they can be bought in black i never knew that....

kenchan 10-01-2009 01:15 PM

dang, that does look pretty nice. it can hold my bb BOLD on those few occasions i need to use google maps. :p

Best part is that it can be taken off in two seconds (it just gently clamps around the knee bolster). It comes with some adhesive to stick to the bolster, but I didn't use it and it works just fine.

^^ that's awesome. have you tried the one that goes on the a-pillar?

I have a Ipod classic 120Gb and a Iphone 3g. would the same clip wok for the both of them?

There are 2 things to consider when purchasing these clips.

1. Choose which mount you would like: dash next to the driver side A pillar or Dash to the right of your stereo head unit.

2. The actual clip that mounts to the dash. This clip is specific to your phone/mp3 player so I would say no..this will not fit both your old ipod and iphone. The clips are not adjustable and are specific to your device.

I would suggest getting the dash mount and then separately purchasing some adjustable clip and custom drill it onto the mount to use both.

we actuallly its new ipod but its the classic look that has video too, they are about the same dimencions but just wanted to make sure. there is one clip that its adjustable.

Yes and No. I bought the iPhone ADJUSTABLE holder and it has four thumb screws to adjust the holder's width. I went with this as I normally keep my iPhone in a plastic case and didn't want to have to take it out all the time.

The adjustable holder has quite a bit of leeway and I imagine you could certainly hold other model devices with it.

Damn I wish they offered that when I ordered mine. I looked at the drop down list of multiple devices to see something like that. O well.

Do they have anything like this that will hold my 120gb Zune player?

NewYorkJon34 10-24-2010 09:31 PM

Nevermind, just ordered, lol will post pics

I'd get one if they had a mount for the vent to the right of the console. I don't like either position they offer.

yep, they work for music players but too low for nav use.

im going to be getting the car cradle for my droidx and just use the modshack v2 bracket i made for my nuvi. it has the same ball joint, i thinks.

the one that goes on the a-pillar is functional but kinda tacky.

I love my Proclip for my iPod touch 3G. In combination with my Griffin AutoPilot (plugged into the power outlet under the glove box), it puts the iPod within easy reach, keeps it vertical, and is always charged.

Does anyone know if they have an adapter for Garmin navs or know of any other Garmin nav solutions? I had a vent mount form my old car that fit, but then it blocked by storage unit above the radio form opening.
