What about putting slits in the black plastic infront of each filter

Here's another idea that requires NO CUTS or any other modification to the car...

Mount the Vette-Air to the bottom of the aluminum impact bar (drilling the front flat part of the Vette-Air and tapping a few holes on the lower side of the aluminum) with the scoop going up behind the bar. Looks like there's enough room to do this easily. Should have minimal impact on radiator cooling as this car runs cool (water wise) anyway. If I had a G3 this is what I'd do....On sale now for $90... Vette Air scoop

Woud you have to install 2 of those to hit each filter. Or is that wide enough for both?

I don't think so....I can envision a "V" placed on the centerline to divert air left and right to the filters...Would be easy to fab up..

Caravanshaka 07-04-2009 12:26 PM

I think one would be enough, just get some fresh air up in that area. Plus, whatever doesn't get sucked up by the intake just flows through the radiator to help cooling anyway

So, would you put this below the black plastic housing, behind the black grilles?

you can do it either way. Personally I'd put it up in the license plate holder area and cut out a hole. to me that would give you the best flow and wouldn't affect radiatior flow at all either.
