Is there an alternative to painters tape???

About to take the Z on a long distance cruise; is there anything other than painters tape to protect the nose? It's such a pain in the a$$ to put the painters tape on and i'm looking for any suggestions. It doesn't have to look pretty, just something temporary.

Wolf's Chemicals makes a very cool temporary coating called "the Mask" Here is a link with photos/videos of how it works, Wolf's spray on clear bra "The Mask" finally ready

Here's where you can buy it, https://detailersdomain.com/Wolfs-Ch...ask_p_663.html

wow, this looks almost too good to be true. What happens when you get caught in a storm? I assume the rain would wash it off? Have you tried this?

I havent used it myself, yet... I was planning to take a spray bottle of the Mask with me if doing a long road trip just incase of bad weather because it will wash off in heavy rain. Lots of good info in the links i posted.

I use this stuff, works great, kinda like shrink wrap. You can go crazy with detail cutting, but I just pull a couple big pieces. Keeps me from having to clean the front bumper after a road trip. Stays on in the rain.

Road Wrap works ok. Just make sure there's overlap or else air pockets will form and eventually beat up your paint. I used it on my hood during my trip to ZDayZ...

I should also note that it leaves a "ghosting" residue on your finish. Not an issue if your paint is protected. Washes right off.

what about heat from the engine, doesn't it melt it a little to the hood and make it harder to take off?
